RLD15B Refrigerant Leak Detector
Refrigerant Leak Detector
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
RLD15B
The RLD15B refrigerant leak detector is designed to detect
current and difficult HFC refrigerants such as R134a, R1234yf,
R410A, R404A, R407C, in addition to all HCFC (R22) and CFC (R12)
refrigerants including SNAP approved hydrocarbon blends. It
features a solid electrolyte semiconductor sensor that responds to
changes in refrigerant concentration. The detector comes with a
leak test vial to ensure the unit is functioning properly. The
digital leak size indicator displays a number from 1 – 9 indicating
the amount of refrigerant sensed.
Usage Instructions:
- To turn on the detector, press the power button.
- Allow 20 seconds for the unit to warm up. The indicator will
blink and the alarm will beep. - When the flashing 8 stops and the green sensitivity indicator
LED turns on, the detector is ready for use. - Press the Sensitivity button to change/scroll sensitivity
levels indicated by LED. - To turn on the work light, press the button.
- When a leak is detected, move the probe away from the source
and back again to confirm the leak source. The detector alarm will
reset if the probe is held fixed at the source. - To mute the speaker, press the Mute button.
- To replace batteries, remove the battery cover on the end of
the instrument, replace 4 (AA) batteries with correct polarity, and
replace the seal cap. - Always remember to replace the plastic seal cap after the leak
test is completed. Replace the test vial when the blue color is no
longer visible.
Features:
- Digital leak size indicator displays a number from 1 – 9
indicating the amount of refrigerant sensed. - The detector responds to changes in refrigerant
concentration. - The maximum value will be displayed once the leak source has
been located. - The audio mute function can be activated by pressing the Mute
button.
Limited Warranty:
Any implied warranties, including but not limited to implied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose,
are limited to the express warranty. UEi shall not be liable for
loss of use of the instrument or other incidental or consequential
damages, expenses, or economic loss, or for any claim or claims for
such damage, expenses, or economic loss. A purchase receipt or
