Requirements
Requirementsa) Windows or Mac/Apple laptop with a webcam (or a desktop computer with an adjustable/moveable webcam), microphone, and speaker
b) An Apple phone/tablet or an Android phone/tablet
c) An email address
d) An internet connection
Before Picking up a Test Kit
- Download the NOVICA app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play App Store from your smartphone/tablet
- Open the NOVICA app on your smartphone/tablet and Create a NOVICA account with a username and password
- If the person being tested is age 17 or younger), then tap the TEST SITE icon at the bottom of the NOVICA app and then tap the profile icon at the upper right of the screen to add a MANAGED PROFILE for the minor to be tested

When Picking up the Test Kit or When Delivered
- Provide your name, date of birth, and email address to the person handing you a test kit
- Show the person you have to download the NOVICA App
- Take the test kit home
Time to Start the Test
- On a computer or laptop – go to ohio.emed.com
- Click the START TESTING button on the page
- Click the LOGIN WITH NOVICA button on the page and use your NOVICA username and password
- Answer the series of questions to prepare for the visit with the named proctor and clickCONTINUE. This will begin the testing session with the named proctor
- Provide your name and date of birth to the end proctor
- Follow all directions from the end proctor to take the test
Results
- After you complete the test you will receive a “pass” on your NOVICA smartphone/tablet app that contains your test results. Tap PASS on the NOVICA app to view your results and pass
- If you test negative, you can show your pass to your school or employer from your smartphone/tablet
- Results could also be found 60 minutes later by using the results tab in the app

FAQS
The BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test does not currently pair with the NAVICA app. The BinaxNOW COVID-19 Home Test can provide a sharable digital COVID-19 result, through collaboration with eMed. The BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self Test is the identical test card to the professional test but can be purchased at retail locations without a prescription. There’s also no need for a healthcare professional or online proctor to administer the swab or interpret results. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
Abbott is intently monitoring the mutations of COVID so we can ensure our tests can detect them, as we do with many viruses. We have conducted a thorough analysis of known variants that we’ve been able to study, and we are confident that our tests remain effective at identifying these strains. It is highly likely that future COVID-19 strains will remain detectable because our tests – and most other COVID-19 tests – look for parts of the virus that are crucial for the virus’ survival and therefore less subject to mutation. This is an antigen test, not as accurate as a PCR molecular test. Depends on the viral load in your nasal passages. If positive you are likely infected with Covid. If negative and have symptoms test again and get a PCR test. I would not use to screen for Covid without symptoms.
Our BinaxNOW tests identify people when they are infectious.
