Product Information
The Drivewyze app is designed to provide legal instructions for
drivers. It offers bypass instructions, alert history, and coverage
at various inspection sites. The app also ensures privacy and
safety by only sharing necessary information for bypass
requests.
Instruction Types:
- Bypass
- Pull In Unless Closed
- Follow Road Signs
Permissions:
Before receiving bypasses, users must grant the following
permissions within the mobile app:
- Android users: Allow Drivewyze to display over other apps for
receiving alerts outside of the app.
Selecting a Vehicle:
Prior to starting the day, users should click the “Change
Vehicle” button in the app and select the appropriate vehicle from
the list.
Recalling Alert History:
To view previous bypass instructions, users can click on the
“Alert History” button.
Bypassing Florida Agriculture Inspection Sites:
If the fleet has opted into the Florida Ag bypass program,
conditional bypasses may be received. Bypassing is not allowed for
refrigerated loads, agriculture, aquaculture, horticulture, or
livestock.
Bypasses for HAZMAT Haulers:
Hazmat haulers may receive different notifications at
Hazmat-restricted sites. Some sites require pulling into the
station if carrying hazardous materials.
Bypass Coverage:
Drivewyze provides bypass coverage at more sites than any other
bypass service nationwide. The current coverage can be viewed at
www.drivewyze.com/coverage-map.
Bypasses at Mobile Sites:
With Drivewyze, vehicles are eligible for bypasses at both
standard fixed sites and temporary mobile inspection sites.
Bypasses at Weigh In Motion (WIM) Sites:
Some states require WIM measured truck weight for bypass
instructions. Drivers should follow road signs and drive in the
rightmost lane to ensure an accurate weight reading. Failure to
drive over the WIM when required will result in the need to
pull-in.
Privacy and Safety:
Bypass requests only submit license plate, VIN, CVOR, and USDOT
information. Driver information is not shared. Bypass events logs
are not certified for speed enforcement or issuing speeding
tickets.

Bypasses at `Mobile Sites’?
With Drivewyze, vehicles are eligible to receive bypasses at both standard `fixed’ sites as well as `mobile’ inspection sites. Mobile sites are temporarily set up at a location where there is no existing station house or static scale
Bypasses at Weigh In Motion (WIM) Sites?
Sites in some states require WIM measured truck weight to give a bypass instruction. When approaching a WIM site be sure to follow road signs and drive in the right most lane to ensure an accurate weight reading.
Vehicles that do not drive over the WIM at sites where it is required will not be eligible to bypass and will be required to pull-in.
Privacy and Safety

Drivers must always follow safe driving practices and never follow in cab signals if doing so poses a risk to safe driving. This includes moving safely into the lane nearest the eventual weigh station exit. If a driving instruction is delayed, always choose to pull-in safely rather than wait for an instruction.
