Product Information
The product is a Solar Light Set, designed for decoration
purposes. It consists of a Lamp Housing, Lamp Cover, Pole, Stake,
and a Battery. The light bulb used is a White LED and the battery
type is AAA NiCd. The solar cells are made of Amorphous Silicon.
The product requires a charge time of 6 hours and has a running
time of 9 hours.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the product, it is important to read the entire
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section in the user manual.
Battery Setup
- Open the Battery Cover on the Lamp Housing.
- Insert the Battery (5) inside the Lamp Housing.
- Close the Battery Cover.
Tool Set Up
- Select a location that receives at least 8 hours of direct
sunlight per day, away from nighttime light sources such as porch
lights or streetlights.
General Operating Instructions
- Unscrew the Lamp Housing from the Lamp Cover.
- Slide the Power Switch to AUTO.
- Twist the Lamp Housing back on the Lamp Cover.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for each light in the set.
- After a full 8 hours of sunlight charging, the lights will
automatically turn on during the night. - To check if the lights are working, view them at night or in a
dark location. If they are not lit, check the position of the Auto
Switch and ensure that the Solar Panel has received full sunlight
for 8 hours.

Setup Instructions

Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.
Battery Setup
There may be a paper tab in one end of the battery between the Battery (5) and the electrical contact so the Battery won’t drain over time. To remove this: 1. Twist the Lamp Cover off the Lamp Housing. 2. Unthread the two screws on the battery cover and remove the battery cover. Caution: Be careful that the two wires holding the battery cover to the Lamp Housing are not pulled and disconnected. 3. Pull out the paper tab. 4. Replace the Battery cover and secure with the screws. 5. Replace the Lamp Cover onto the Lamp Housing. 6. Repeat steps 1 – 5 for the other lights.

Tool Set Up
1. Decide where you want to place the Solar Light Set. Choose a location that receives full, direct sunlight a minimum of eight hours a day. The location should not be near nighttime light sources such as porch lights or streetlights as this will cause the Solar Light Set to remain off.
Note: During the day, the Solar Panel converts sunlight into electricity, recharging the battery. The amount of light the Solar Panel receives depends on placement of the Solar Light, geographic location and weather. If the weather is cloudy and the panels do not receive a full charge, the Solar Lights may not achieve the full hours of operating time. They will catch up after two to three days of full sun. 2. Make certain that the path of the Stake (4) is clear of lines, cables and conduits. 3. Remove the Stake (4) from the Solar Light Pole (3). 4. With a rubber mallet, gently tap the Stake into the ground. 5. Once the Stake is securely in the ground, slip the upper Solar Light assembly/Pole back onto the top of the Stake.
General Operating Instructions
1. Unscrew the Lamp Housing from the Lamp Cover. 2. Slide the Power Switch to “AUTO”. 3. Twist the Lamp Housing back on the Lamp Cover. 4. Repeat steps 1 – 3 for each Light. 5. After a full 8 hours of sunlight charging, the Lights will automatically turn ON during the night. After the initial
charge is set, check to see that the Lights are on by viewing them at night or in a dark location. If they are not lit, check the position of the “Auto” Switch and check that the Solar Panel has had full sunlight for 8 hours.

Maintenance

TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE: Do not use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.
1. Clean regularly with a damp towel. Do not use any type of solvent for cleaning. Do not put too much pressure on the Solar Panel or accessories while cleaning. Dry thoroughly.
2. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for: · leaking, swollen, or cracked battery, · loose hardware, · misalignment or binding of parts, · cracked or broken parts, and · any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
3. AFTER USE, wipe external surfaces of the tool with clean cloth.
4. Replace the batteries every 12 months. a. Twist the Lamp Housing off the Lamp Cover. b. Unthread the two screws on the battery cover and remove the battery cover.
Caution: Be careful that the two wires holding the battery cover to the Lamp Housing are not pulled and disconnected.
c. Remove the old battery. d. NiCd BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
Do not short, incinerate or open battery. e. Install a new NiCd AAA, 300mAh (or better) battery into the Battery Compartment.
Check that the battery is placed according to the correct polarity. f. Replace the cover and secure in place with the Screws. g. Twist the Lamp Housing onto the Lamp Cover.

Troubleshooting
Problem
Light will not turn on
Possible Causes
1. Auto/Off Switch not set to “Auto”.
2. Battery not allowed time for recharging via Solar Panel.
3. Solar Light is set near nighttime light sources such as porch lights or street lights.
4. Solar Panel is dirty and covered with dirt or dust.
Probable Solutions
1. Check position of Auto/Off Switch. 2. Check that Solar Panel has direct access to
sunlight. Allow one to two days for a full charge. 3. Move Solar Light or change Solar Panel position.
4. Clean Solar Panel with a soft cloth.
