PTA-1 Robotic Head

Product Information:

The PTA-1 Robotic Arm Broadcast is a robotic camera platform
designed for outdoor applications. It is specifically built to
support heavier broadcast cameras and lenses, providing customers
with more flexibility when deploying autonomous camera solutions.
With a high payload capacity of up to 25kg, it is suitable for
larger broadcast cameras and lenses.

The PTA-1 Robotic Arm offers full remote operation and

need to operate a camera in locations where operators cannot be
easily positioned. The PTA-1 can be operated remotely from a truck

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Ensure that the PTA-1 Robotic Arm Broadcast is placed in a
    suitable outdoor location with enough operational space.
  2. If required, connect the power supply to the unit. Use the
    appropriate voltage and plug type for your region.
  3. Connect the necessary cables to the PTA-1, including RJ45 for
    network connectivity, SDI for video output, and optional fibre for
    optical SDI output.
  4. If you need to install a camera, remove the camera sled from
    the robotic arm platform.
  5. Mount your desired camera onto the removable sled and securely
    attach it.
  6. Place the camera sled back onto the robotic arm platform,
    ensuring it is properly aligned and locked in place.
  7. Use the provided control interface to remotely operate and
    control the PTA-1 Robotic Arm and the attached camera.
  8. For remote production, ensure that the PTA-1 is connected to a
    truck or a suitable remote location for convenient operation.

This allows outside broadcasters to operate a camera in an environment where operators could not be easily positioned. The PTA-1 could then be operated from a truck or a remote location. With the IP65 rating, the system can be permanently installed in outdoor locations (stadiums, racecourses etc.) and due to its removable sled, any camera can be easily mounted and removed as required.
