Brief IntroductionThe Altec Lansing SHOCKWAVE 200 is a wireless party speaker
that supports party-sync. It is equipped with various buttons on
the top panel for easy control of power, playback, lighting modes,
bass modes, and connectivity.

Product Usage Instructions

Power Button

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power on or
power off the speaker.

Play/Pause Button (BT mode only)

In BT mode, short press the play/pause button to mute or unmute
the speaker.

Previous Song Button

Press the previous song button to play the previous song in the
playlist.

Next Song Button

Press the next song button to play the next song in the
playlist.

Light Modes Button

Briefly press the light modes button to turn on the lighting.
Each press cycles through 9 different lighting modes and then back
to off.

FM Mode Button

Briefly press the FM mode button to enter into FM mode.

Bass Modes Button

Briefly press the bass modes button to cycle through 3 bass
modes: Standard (flat), Bass Enhance 1, and Bass Enhance 2.

AUX Mode Button

Briefly press the AUX mode button to enter into AUX mode.

BT & Party-sync Button

Briefly press the BT & party-sync button to enter into
Bluetooth pairing mode. Press and hold the button to disconnect
from a paired Bluetooth device. Double-click the button to connect
or disconnect from party-sync mode.

Reset to Default Settings

Press and hold the bass button for 10 seconds to reset all
settings back to factory default.

Bluetooth Connection

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone and make sure
    Bluetooth is turned on.
  2. Connect to the device listed as “AL Shockwave 200”.

Party-sync with AL SHOCKWAVE Family

The Altec Lansing SHOCKWAVE family consists of four members that
support party-sync. You can mix and match between these models to
set up one speaker as the primary unit connected to up to 100 other
speakers playing in sync.

  1. Connect one speaker to your Bluetooth device via
    Bluetooth.
  2. Double-press the BT button on the first speaker to enter
    party-sync mode and make it the primary speaker.
  3. Double-press the BT button on the next speaker to enter
    party-sync mode. The speaker will find and connect to the primary
    speaker.
  4. Repeat step 3 for additional speakers you want to connect.
  5. To exit party-sync mode, double-press the BT button on the
    speakers you wish to disconnect and return to normal
    operation.

Lighting Control

Briefly press the lights button to switch between different
lighting modes. Some modes require music playing to be visible.

Reset to default settings:
Press and hold the BASS button for 10S to reset all settings back to factory default.

Bluetooth Connection
Go to the Bluetooth settings menu on your phone. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on. Connect to the device listed as “AL Shockwave 200″

If needed briefly press the BT button to enter into BT mode;
If you want to change to a different BT device when already paired press and hold the BT button, the speaker will disconnect from its paired device. A different device can now be paired.
Party-sync with AL SHOCKWAVE Family

A double press of the BT button is used to enter/exit party-sync mode on extra speakers if you have them as below.

The Altec Lansing SHOCKWAVE family has four members that support party-sync. You can mix and match between any of these four models, setting up one speaker as the primary unit connected to up to 100 other speakers all playing in sync. 1. Connect one speaker to your Bluetooth device in the normal way via Bluetooth. 2. Double press the BT button on this first speaker to enter Party sync and
make it the primary speaker. 3. Double-press the BT button on the next speaker to enter Party-sync mode,
its BT LED will flashes slowly and it will find and connect to the first (primary) speaker. 4. Repeat No 3 if you have more speakers you want to connect. 5. To exit party-sync double press the BT button on the speakers you wish to disconnect and return to normal operation.
Notes: Playback volume is adjusted via the first (primary) speaker. The BT playback controls only operate on the first (primary) speaker. Turning off the first (primary) speaker turns off all speakers. All secondary speakers can be turned on/off individually and their light modes changed via their individual controls.
LIGHTING CONTROL
Briefly press the LIGHTS button to switch lighting mode. (Note: Some modes which use `sound-to-light’ need music playing to be visible)
Each press moves to the next mode and back round to off. Mode 1: Rotating ring in three colors Mode 2: Flashing to music Mode 3: `Spectrum’ Mode 4: `Stacking/re-stacking’ lights both sides Mode 5: Rotating lights in multi-colors Mode 6: Breathing on/off Mode 7: Flashing to music, solid lighting when no audio Mode 8: `Bar-graph’ in multi-colors Mode 9: Rotating `stacking/re-stacking’ lights
