Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the KHT7005. We are confident that it will provide reliable, high performance sound for many years to come. Please read this manual fully before you attempt any connections to the KHT7005.
Modern flat-panel televisions must be equipped with an audio system that not only enhances their sophisticated appearance but also accurately reproduces the detailed high definition audio found in today’s movie soundtracks. The HTF7003 soundbar may appear little, but the sound it generates is anything but. It was created to go along with today’s fashionable flat panel televisions 32in. and larger. The HTF7003 replicates the performance of three separate loudspeakers in a single, acoustically inert aluminum enclosure, creating the front soundstage for the home theater.

IMPORTANT

AV SPEAKER CONFIGURATION SETTINGS

These satellite loudspeakers must be used set as ‘SMALL’ in the bass management menu on the AV amplifier/receiver. Please refer to the table below.

Bass output must be sent to ‘SUBWOOFER’ not ‘MAIN’ or ‘BOTH.8

This ensures that the system will reproduce high SPL, undistorted sound and is the correct set up for any small loudspeaker.

Failure to do this will reduce the sonic quality of your system and, over a long time period, could result in damage to the satellite loudspeakers since high level, low frequency signals are sent to the small satellite loudspeakers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does it need a receiver?

No, it doesn’t need a receiver.

Is the speaker grate the entire height of this bar, or is it 3.1 inches? Do the back’s mounting points exist?

Height overall is 3.1 inches. Its form is oval. There is a mounting bracket at the back.

Is there an HDMI input on it? Does it have a pass-through for HDMI?

Since it is a passive soundbar, the only connections available are for speaker wire.

Is this appropriate for center channel speakers?

You can, but there are left and right speakers as well.

How does this speaker do in a conversation?

Due to the ability to alter the sound intensity on the center channel as opposed to the left and right channels, this passive speaker has been excellent for discussion. The sound bar is a high-quality item as well.

Do I need a soundbar with a projector?

Modern projectors not only have excellent onboard speakers, but they also offer cutting-edge audio, making a standalone hi-fi system completely unnecessary.

Are soundbars better than speakers?

Soundbars can’t compete with the audio quality of speaker systems. Their size contributes to this in part. But it’s also because you can create true surround sound by dispersing speakers throughout a space.

Are soundbars worth it?

Yes, in our opinion. A soundbar is a fantastic alternative if you want to enhance the surround sound on your TV or the sound quality of your TV.

Is it better to use optical or HDMI for soundbar?

The greatest distinction is that HDMI can transmit audio at higher resolutions, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio, which are audio formats available on Blu-ray discs.

Is HDMI or HDMI ARC better for soundbar?

While HDMI Arc offers high-quality audio transmission, comparable to how an additional speaker functions, HDMI cable is only designed for the transmission of television.

Do I need a subwoofer with my soundbar?

A subwoofer is not necessary for a soundbar to sound nice. Soundbars include numerous internal speakers that can provide amazing sound on their own, but many soundbars struggle to produce low frequencies without the assistance of a subwoofer.

Should I use my soundbar all the time?

If you leave your soundbar on often, it could get damaged just like any other speaker. It may overheat, present a fire risk, and consume energy needlessly.

What’s the difference between 2.1 and 5.1 sound bar?

There are 5 speakers total in a 5.1 system, including the front center, left, and right speakers. For a surround sound effect, it also has back left, right, and subwoofer speakers.
