Product Information:
This product is a fireplace designed for outdoor installations.
It requires an overhang to be installed above it, which must extend
at least 1/2 the height of the roof-line. The height is measured
from the base of the fireplace.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Determine the height of the roof-line (B) above the base of the
fireplace. - Calculate 1/2 of the roof-line height to determine the minimum
required length of the overhang (A). - Install the overhang above the fireplace, making sure that it
extends at least the minimum required length (A).
For example, if the roof-line height (B) is 8 feet above the
base of the fireplace, the overhang (A) must be at least 4 feet
long.
OUTDOOR INSTALLATIONS
Select electric fireplaces are suitable for outdoor areas protected from direct water impingement. The fireplace shall not be installed in a standalone structure, even if the following requirements are met. In addition to maintaining the listed mantel and combustible clearances, a rain protection overhang factor of½ shall be constructed to the front and to each side of the installed fireplace. See illustrations below. When installed, the fireplace shall be installed on the exterior of a main structure/building. All wiring connections to line power shall be in accordance with local building code requirements.
The overhang(A) must extend at least 1/2 the roof-line h eigh t. Height is measured from the base of the fireplace. For example: if the roof-line(B) is 8″ above the base of the fireplace, the overhang(A) must be at 4″
