FAQS

Can the dock browse the Bluetooth connected devices library?

You can browse files from the Bluetooth device, but not from the Samson 30-pin adapter.
There are no controls or displays on the adapter. It is just a Bluetooth receiver.

If your system (e.g. car) would control your iPod/Phone if hard connected, do you lose that functionality when using this device?

No

My car has a non-charging iphone 30-pin connection. Will this still work?

No, unfortunately. It requires power to operate.

Can I connect an aux cord or a cable of some sort to it with an iPhone?

It’s best to think of this only as a BT receiver. Any Android or IOS phone, iPOD, tv will work. It’s an excellent receiver for a 30 pin male connection. Your phone has Bluetooth. Also this device is powered by the 30 pin connector. No batteries.

will this work to use an android phone on an ipod dock

It’ll pair with anything Bluetooth, and it’ll do it with an android phone or anything else that’ll pair with the Bluetooth signal. My problem with it has to do with the Usaspec iPod interface on a GM/Bose system. A home doc is a slam dunk though, it’ll work fine up to 20-30ft away depending on the obstructions in between. It’s a good value for what your wanting to do. It won’t transmit the info on song titles or artist to your receiver or dock. It just receives the signal. I think you’ll be happy with it.

Currently using receiver that goes to sleep and needs to be re-attached when connection is lost for 30 mins. Is this similar or does resetting resync?

Does not have a sleep mode.

can i use this on a bmw ycable

Not sure on BMW, but so long as the sound system is compatible, it should pass through the audio signal. I’ve used it in multiple configurations with different systems, and it’s worked for all I’ve tried so far without any issues. For the price and great quality product, it’s worth a try to see.

I’ve researched other receivers. and they state doesn’t support digital audio. analog only. does this support both? i have the Samson studiodock 3i.

I’ve tried and tried to get mine to work, it’s odd because if I turn the volume way up I can ever so faintly hear the music playing. Short answer, mines been in a drawer almost since I got it because it never did work for me. I was trying to Bluetooth my iPhone through it.
