INSTALLATION GUIDE
Note: Read these instructions in fa before commencing installation This product is to be installed by a qualified RV service / repair person. Aussie Traveller accepts no responsibility or liability for damage or injury resulting from the installation or operation of this product.
- It is recommended to fit the backing plate when there is insufficient support in the RV wall for mounting the bracket only.
- The backing plate has been made a little longer than the bracket to allow some horizontal adjustment to locate a reinforced section of the RV walUframe if necessary.
- Ensure the awning is fully retracted and in travel mode
- Loosely attach the cradle to the bracket using the supplied nut and bolt—see figure 1.
- Position the cradle and bracket under the roller (as close as possible to the centre of the roller) and scat the cradle lightly against the fabric — see figure 2.
Note: The cradle is not meant to be positioned hard up against the roller/fabric. The job of the cradle is to prevent downward flexing of the roller when travelling but not to act as a constant support. - Mark the position of the bottom of the bracket, out to one side, on the RV wall.
- Roll the awning out and raise the frameset to a point which gives maximum access and clearance under the fabric to allow the awning support to be fitted.
