Product Usage Instructions
- Carefully remove the heater from the plastic bag and
carton. - Place the heater on a firm and level surface. Avoid placing it
on furniture surfaces or hardwood floors as it may leave a residue
that could darken, stain, or leave permanent blemishes. - Plug the cord set into a 120-volt outlet. Ensure that the plug
fits tightly into the outlet to avoid overheating and fire
hazards. - The power light will come on when the heater is plugged in,
indicating that there is power to the unit. - To turn on the heater, press the power button.
- The heater will initially be in high heat mode (1500
degrees).
Remote Control Usage
To use the remote control:
- Install two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote
control. - Do not mix old and new batteries. Use either alkaline or
standard (carbon-zinc) batteries. Do not use rechargeable
batteries. - Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may explode.

FUNCIÓN DE SEGURIDAD

CONSEJOS PARA IDENTIFICAR PROBLEMAS
Si su calefactor se apaga inesperadamente o no funciona, es probable que la función de seguridad descrita anteriormente se haya activado para impedir el sobrecalentamiento. 1. Cerciórese de que el cable eléctrico esté enchufado en

DO NOT PLUG HEATER INTO ANY OTHER CORD CONNECTED DEVICE, SUCH AS A POWER STRIP, SURGE PROTECTOR, MULTIPLE OUTLET ADAPTER, CORD REEL OR OUTLET-TYPE AIR FRESHENER. DO NOT USE THIS HEATER WITH ANY SOLID STATE SPEED CONTROL DEVICES.
· Make certain that the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the Heater. · Extreme caution is necessary when any Heater is used by or near children or invalids. The Heater should not be left operating unattended.
Never leave children unattended when the heater is on or plugged in. · This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. · DO NOT use the Heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored. DO NOT use Heater in locations where flammable or explosive chemicals are stored, or in wet atmospheres. · Do not operate any Heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the Heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. To disconnect Heater, turn the Heater OFF then remove the plug from the outlet. · Always unplug Heater when not in use. Unplug power cord before servicing or moving the Heater. · Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as it may cause an electric shock, fire, or damage the Heater. Do not block or tamper with the Heater in any manner while it is in operation. · Do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not place on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. Do not depend on the on/off switch as the sole means of disconnecting power when servicing or moving the heater. Always unplug the power cord.
CAUTION
· Always place the Heater on a stable, flat, level surface when operating, to avoid the chance of the Heater overturning. Locate the Power Cord so the Heater or other objects are not resting on it. DO NOT run Power Cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover Power Cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings as this may cause cord to overheat. Arrange Power Cord away from room traffic and where it will not be tripped over.
· This Heater is HOT when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use handle when moving this Heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the Heater and keep them at least 1 foot (0.3 m) from the sides and rear.
· This Heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. This Heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER locate a Heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
· DO NOT use Heater outdoors. · This Heater is not suitable for use in agricultural facilities including areas where livestock, poultry or other animals are confined. Please refer to
National Electric Code (NEC) Article 547-7 (2008), or applicable state or local codes or standards relating to electrical requirements for Agricultural Buildings. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. La Luz de Encendido permanecerá encendida hasta que el Calefactor sea desconectado del tomacorriente eléctrico. 5. ENCIENDA el Calefactor oprimiendo el Botón de Encendido. 6. Cuando se lo encienda por primera vez, el Calefactor estará en calor Alto (1500 vatios) en Máx. (La luz Alta estará encendida permanentemente y la luz de Máximo estará titilando). 7. Oprima el Botón de Encendido una vez más y el Calefactor estará en Calor Bajo, indicado por la luz permanente junto a Bajo. 8. Oprimir el Botón de Encendido por tercera vez APAGARÁ el Calefactor. 9. Cuando el Calefactor está APAGADO, la luz roja en la parte frontal del Calefactor permanecerá encendida hasta que el Calefactor sea desconectado del tomacorriente eléctrico. Función de Oscilación: 1. Oprimir el Botón de Oscilación (OSC) le permitirá al Calefactor oscilar hacia atrás y hacia delante. Para detener la oscilación, vuelva a oprimir el Botón de Oscilación (OSC). Cuando el calefactor esté en control automático de temperatura, la función de oscilación se detendrá cuando se alcance la temperatura fijada y reiniciará cuando el calefactor vuelva a encenderse. Función de Temperatura La función de temperatura automática sólo operará en calefacción “Alta”. No puede fijar la temperatura automáticamente cuando la unidad se encuentre en la modalidad de calefacción baja. 1. Para fijar una temperatura específica en la habitación, presione el botón de temperatura ( ) hasta la configuración deseada. La luz de la temperatura escogida continuará titilando hasta que la habitación alcance la temperatura deseada. El Calefactor realizará el ciclo de apagado y encendido para mantener la temperatura de la habitación. Cuando se fija en MAX (Máximo), el Calefactor operará continuamente.
CONTROL REMOTO (Figura 2)
1. Instale dos baterías “AAA” (no suministró). 2. No mezcle baterías viejas y nuevas. No mezcle baterías alcalinas, estándar
(carbono-cinc), recargables (níquel-cadmio) o de iones de litio. 3. NO SE DESHÁGA DE BATERÍAS EN EL FUEGO. BATERÍAS PUEDEN
ESTALLAR O PUEDEN SALIRSE. 4. Oprima el botón de encendido del control remoto para encender y
apagar el calentador. 5. Oprima el botón “alto” para poner el calentador a temperatura alta. 6. Oprima el botón “bajo” para poner el calentador a temperatura baja. 7. El botón de oscilación en el control remoto funciona idénticamente al
botón de oscilación en el calentador. 8. Oprima el signo de más o menos en el botón del control remoto de la
temperatura ( ) para seleccionar la temperatura deseada.

Si aún no encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado. No trate de modificar esta función de seguridad. · NO utilice el Calentador en áreas donde se use o almacene gasolina, pintura, o líquidos inflamables. NO utilice el Calentador en lugares donde se almacenan productos químicos inflamables o explosivos, o en ambientes húmedos. · No opere el Calentador con un cable o enchufe dañado, cuando tenga una falla o cuando se haya caído o dañado en alguna manera. Para desconectar el Calentador, APAGUE el Calentador y luego retire el enchufe de la toma de corriente. · Siempre desconecte el calentador cuando no esté en uso. Desconecte el cable de corriente antes de realizar el mantenimiento al Calentador o moverlo. · No inserte ni permita que los dedos u objetos extraños ingresen en alguna apertura de la ventilación o el extractor, pues puede causar una descarga eléctrica o incendio, o dañar el Calentador. No bloquee ni intente forzar el Calentador en alguna manera mientras que está en funcionamiento. · No bloquee las entradas de aire o el extractor en alguna manera. No coloque sobre superficies blandas, como la cama, donde las aberturas pueden bloquearse. No dependa del interruptor de encendido y apagado como el único medio de desconectar la corriente cuando mueva o realice mantenimiento al Calentador. Siempre desconecte el cable de corriente.
PRECAUCIÓN
· Siempre coloque el Calefactor en una firme, plana y nivelada durante la operación para evitar la posibilidad de que el calefactor se cae. Localice el cable de manera que el Calefactor de ventilador o de otros objetos que no son los mismos. No coloque el cable de alimentación debajo de alfombras. NO cubra el cable con tapetes, caminos estrechos o elementos de cobertura similares, ya que puede causar el cable se sobrecaliente. Coloque el cable de alimentación alejado de las personas y donde no se pueda tropezar.
· Este Calefactor está CALIENTE cuando está en funcionamiento. Para evitar quemaduras, no permita que la piel desnuda toque las superficies calientes. 1. Carefully remove the Heater from the plastic bag and the carton. 2. Place the Heater on a firm and level surface. Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may stick to furniture surfaces and/or hardwood floors. The unit may leave a residue that could darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on the finish of certain furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces, and/or hardwood floors. 3. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt outlet.
Be sure that the plug fits tightly into outlet. When plugs fit loosely into receptacles, they may slip partially or completely out of the receptacle with only the slight movement of the attached cord. Receptacles in this condition may overheat and pose a serious fire hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape, the fire hazard is even greater.
4. When the Heater is plugged in, the Power Light will come on indicating that there is power to the unit. The Power Light will remain lit until the Heater is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
5. Turn the Heater ON by pressing the Power Button. 6. When initially turned on, the Heater will be in High heat (1500
Watts) on Max. (The High light will be steady and the Max light will be blinking). 7. Press the Power Button once and the Heater will be in Low Heat, indicated by the steady light beside Low. 8. Pressing the Power Button a third time will turn the Heater OFF. 9. When the Heater is turned OFF, the red light on the Heater will remain lit until the Heater is unplugged from the electrical outlet. Oscillation Function: 1. Pressing the Oscillation Button will allow the Heater to oscillate back and forth. To stop the oscillation, press the Oscillation Button again. When the Heater is in Automatic Temperature Control, the oscillation function will stop when the set temperature is reached and resume when the Heater turns back on. Temperature Function The automatic temperature function will only operate on “High” heat. You cannot set the temperature automatically when the unit is in the low heat mode. 1. To set the room at a specific temperature, press the Temperature Button ( ) to the desired setting. The light under the chosen temperature will continue to blink until the room reaches the desired temperature. The Heater will cycle off and on to maintain the room temperature. When set on MAX, the Heater will run continuously.
Remote Control (Figure 2):
1. Install two “AAA” batteries (not included). 2. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. 3. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE. BATTERIES MAY
EXPLODE OR LEAK. 4. Press the power button on the remote to turn the heater on and off. 5. Press the “high” button to put the heater into high heat. 6. Press the “low” button to put the heater into low heat. 7. The oscillation button on the remote works identically to the
oscillation button on the heater. 8. Press the plus or minus sign on the temperature control button
( ) to select the desired temperature setting.

SAFETY FEATURE
1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating. 2. If an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will automati-
cally shut off. It can only resume operation when the unit is reset. (See reset instructions below). To Reset Heater: 1. Unplug the Heater and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down. 2. After the 10 minutes, plug the Heater in again and follow the OPERATION INSTRUCTION described in this instruction manual.
MAINTENANCE
TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, the previously mentioned safety feature may have been activated to prevent overheating. 1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical
outlet. 2. Check your Temperature setting. The Heater may be off because
it has reached the desired temperature setting. 3. If your Heater runs for several minutes and shuts off repeatedly,
your Heater may require cleaning. See Maintenance section below. If you have a problem that can not be resolved by the steps listed above, contact Technical Assistance at 1-800-233-0268, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm EST.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire please observe the following instructions. Cleaning the Heater regularly will help to maintain its efficiency.
– Always unplug the cord before moving, servicing or cleaning. – NEVER place the Heater in or near water. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER. – Clean the Heater only with a vacuum equipped with a brush attachment; the vacuum will remove
the lint and dirt from the surface of the Heater. – Vacuum intake grills every two weeks; this will help to maintain the optimum Heater performance. – Use a toothbrush or other soft bristle brush to gently loosen any dirt not removed by the vacuum. – NEVER attempt to take apart the Heater. – Clean the body of the Heater with a soft cloth only. – NEVER use ALCOHOL or SOLVENTS such as gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, or other harsh cleaners.
