USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
· Polyurethane and UV coatings are highlydurable finishes, which are developed to be virtually maintenance free.
· Use a fine-tooth saw blade followed with fine grit sandpaper if cutting is needed. Apply a dark Walnut or similar stain as desired and a clear polyurethane finish to all cut edges.
· To repair minor issues such as stains, scratches and/or dents that may occur with time and the normal use of your butcher block, lightly sand it in the direction of the wood grain with fine sandpaper and reapply a clear polyurethane finish.
· Deeper gouges and holes can be filled with wood filler then sanded down before refinishing, using a matching stain where needed.
· This butcher block surface can be used for food prep; however, we recommend that a cutting board or mat be used to preserve the life and look of the block.
· Always clean your work top surface before and after each use.
