glass kettle for the first time, please read all the safety
instructions and warnings provided in the user manual. 2. Use the
glass kettle in dry indoor spaces only. 3. Ensure that the glass
kettle is placed on a stable and heat-resistant surface. 4. Fill
the glass kettle with water according to the desired amount,
keeping in mind the maximum and minimum capacity markings on the
kettle. 5. Close the lid securely to prevent any water leakage
during operation. 6. Plug in the glass kettle to a suitable power
outlet. 7. Turn on the glass kettle using the power switch, if
available. The kettle will start heating the water. 8. Wait for the
water to boil. The glass kettle may have an indicator light that
turns off when the water has reached boiling point. 9. Once the
water has boiled, carefully pour it out of the glass kettle into
your desired container or use it directly as required. 10. After
use, unplug the glass kettle from the power outlet and allow it to

The instruction manual forms an integral part of this product. It contains important information on assembly/operation, safety, use and disposal. Prior to assembly and use of the product, familiarise yourself with the product and all operation and safety notes. For this purpose, carefully read the following usage/assembly/ operation instructions and safety notes. Only use the product as described and for the applications stated. Keep this manual in a safe place. If you hand the product on to third parties, all documentation must be passed on as well.
Intended use
The product is intended only for boiling of fresh water.
The product is designed solely for domestic use. It is not intended for commercial use.
Any other use not mentioned in these instructions may cause a damage to the product or create a serious risk of injury.

Electrical safety

mDANGER! Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
mWARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
mWARNING! Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the power supply and consult your retailer if the product is damaged.

Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product’s rating label. Only connect the product to a grounded power supply. Make sure the power plug is connected properly. To avoid damaging the power cord, do not squeeze, bend or chafe it on sharp edges. Keep it away from hot surfaces and open flames as well. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Pull the plug and not the cable itself to disconnect the product from the power supply.

Connect the product to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the product can be unplugged immediately. This product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system. Do not operate or touch the product with wet hands.
Fire/burn hazard and heat!

HOT SURFACE!
Keep children and pets away from the product while it is in operation or cooling down. The accessible parts are hot.
mCAUTION! The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
mBurn hazard! The product surface is subject to residual heat for some time after use. Do not touch the product`s hot surfaces and beware of escaping steam. Hold the product by its handle only.
mBurn hazard! Do not open the lid while the water is boiling. The product`s lid must remain securely closed while the product is in use.
If you notice any smoke or unusual noises, immediately disconnect the product from the power supply. Have the product checked by a specialist before continued use.
mWARNING! Do not use the product if the water kettle shows cracks or other signs of damages.
Placing the product The product must not be placed directly below a power supply. Always use the product on a flat, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.
Operation The product shall only be used with the supplied base. Do not overfill the product. If the product is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. Do not operate the product without water. The fill level of the product must be between the MIN and MAX marks on the water gauge.
Cleaning and storage The product shall not be exposed to any dripping or splashing water.

Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning and when not in use. Refer to the “Cleaning and care” section for instructions on how to clean the product.
Boiling water
* Press the lid opening button [3] to open the lid [2]. Fill the water kettle [12] with water.
* Place the water kettle [12] onto the base [9]. * Push the I/O switch [5] into the I position.
The LED ring [10] (on the bottom of the water kettle [12]) lights up. The colour of the LED ring changes with the water temperature.
Before first use
* Remove all the packaging materials. * Clean the product (see “Cleaning and care”). * Boil the maximum water volume of 1.7 litres
(see “Operation”). After boiling, discard the water to remove any production and transport residues.
Operation
m Danger of burns! The lid [2] must remain
closed when pouring hot water. Otherwise, hot water or steam could escape over the rim causing burns.
Placing the product
* Keep the power cord [6] as short as possible. Wrap the excess power cord onto the cord storage [8] (bottom of the base [9]).
* Guide the power cord [6] through the power cord guide [7].
* Place the base [9] on an even, stable surface. Maintain a safe distance to walls and cupboards to avoid damages caused by rising steam.

Cleaning and care
m WARNING! The product shall not be
immersed in water or other liquids. Do not hold the product under running water. * Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning. * Check the product prior to each use for visible signs of damage.
Cleaning
* Do not use any abrasive, aggressive cleaners or hard brushes to clean the product.
* Clean the product with a slightly damp cloth. Use a mild detergent, if necessary.
* Rub all parts dry with a clean cloth.

Care
Cleaning the strainer [1]
* Rinse the strainer [1] with fresh water.
Removing calcifications Limescale reduces the efficiency of the product and increases energy consumption. Check the product regularly for limescale deposits. * Fill the water kettle [12] with a vinegar solution
(5 to 15 %). * Push the I/O switch [5] into the I position.
Wait for the product to turn off automatically. * Let the solution remain in the water kettle [12]
overnight. Discard the solution on the next day. * Fill the water kettle [12] with clear water up to the MAX mark on the water gauge. Boil the water. * After boiling, discard the water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar. * Rinse the water kettle’s [12] interior thoroughly with tap water.
Storage
* Store the product when it is not in use in its original packaging.
* Store the product at a dry location out of the reach of children.
Disposal
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which you be disposed through your local recycling facilities.
Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1 – 7: plastics / 20 – 22: paper and fibreboard / 80 – 98: composite materials.
Product: Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local

Warranty and service

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below. The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase. Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product. Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it at our choice free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly. The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
