Ensure that the water tank is filled up to the MAX mark.
Hang the garment or drape on a clothes hanger.
Set the fabric select dial to an appropriate setting (between 5
and 6) for your fabric.
Hold the iron close to, but not touching, the fabric.
Pull the fabric tight in your free hand and press the button as
you move the iron over the fabric.

Dry Ironing:

Turn the steam/dry selector to the dry ( ) position.
Turn the fabric select dial to an appropriate setting for your
fabric.
When finished ironing, make sure to unplug the iron.

Emptying Water Tank:

Note: It is not necessary to empty the water after each use.

Unplug the iron and let it cool down.
If you want to empty the water, hold the iron over a sink with
the tip pointing down to allow water to empty out of the water-fill
opening.

Care and Cleaning:

Note: This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer
service to qualified service personnel.

Cleaning Outside Surfaces:

Make sure the iron is unplugged and has cooled completely.
Wipe the soleplate and outer surfaces with a soft cloth
dampened with water and mild household detergent.
Never use abrasives, heavy-duty cleansers, vinegar, or scouring
pads that may scratch or discolor the iron.
After cleaning, steam iron over an old cloth to remove any
residue from the steam vents.

Auto Clean™ System:

Tip: To keep the steam vents free of any buildup, follow these
instructions about once a month:

Fill the water tank well below the MAX line. Plug in the
iron.
Turn the fabric select dial to 6 and stand the iron on its heel
rest. Allow it to heat.
Turn fabric select dial to 0, unplug the iron, and hold it over
a sink with the soleplate facing down.
Press and hold the Auto Clean™ button. Be careful, as hot water
and steam will come out of the steam vents. Continue to hold the
Auto Clean™ button until all the water has emptied. If necessary,
rock the iron side-to-side and front-to-back.
When finished, release the button, stand the iron on its heel
rest, and plug it in. Heat for about 2 minutes to dry out any
remaining water.

Storing Your Iron:

Check that the fabric-select dial is set to 0.
Unplug the iron and let it cool completely.
Store the iron on its heel rest. Storing the iron on its
soleplate can cause leaks or damage.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:

When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on
which the stand is placed is stable.

AUTO CLEANTM SYSTEM

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
· Read all instructions before using.
· Only use iron for its intended use.
· To avoid risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
· Always turn iron off before plugging or unplugging from the electrical outlet. Never pull on the cord to disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull on the plug to disconnect the iron.
· Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces. Let the iron cool completely before putting the iron away. Coil the cord loosely around the iron when storing.
· Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet before filling the iron with water, emptying the water from the iron, and when the iron is not in use.
· Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or in the event the iron has been dropped or damged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron. Take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect assembly might result in a risk of electric shock when the iron is used after reassembly.
· Close supervision is necessary for any appliance used by or near children. Do not leave the iron unattended while the iron is connected or on an ironing board.
· Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down– there might be hot water in the reservoir.
· This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
· Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
· The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
– When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
– The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
· The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
· To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate an iron on the same circuit with another high wattage appliance.
· If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the iron should be used. A cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care shall be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or be tripped over.

POLARIZED PLUG (120V Models Only) This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to
reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Note: This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. The attachment plug or entire cord set (if plug is molded onto cord) is not suitable for replacement. If damaged, the appliance shall be replaced. For Mexico market only: If the line cord and plug is damaged it must be replaced by the warranty department listed in the manual.

This product is for household use only.

GETTING STARTED

· ·

Remove any labels, stickers or tags attached to the body or soleplate of the iron. Please go to www.prodprotect.com/powerxl to register your warranty.

Important: For optimum performance, let the iron stand for 90 seconds before

beginning to iron.

Note: Use ordinary tap water for ironing. Do not use water processed through a home

softening system.

FILLING WATER TANK
1. Grasp the water-fill cover and pull it out to expose the water-fill opening. Be careful not to pull too hard as the water-fill cover is attached to the inside of the water-fill opening.
2. Tilt the iron and using a clean measuring cup, pour water into opening until the water
reaches the MAX level mark on the water tank. Do not overfill. Important: Be careful not to overfill the iron. Do not add water beyond the MAX mark on the water tank. This may cause water to spill out of the soleplate. 3. After filling, be sure to push the water-fill cover securely back into the water-fill opening. 4. Plug in the iron. Tip: If unsure of a garment’s fiber, test a small area (on an inside seam or hem) before
ironing.

STEAM IRONING
1. Turn the fabric-select dial to appropriate setting (between 4 and 6) for your fabric. See fabric guide and read garment’s label to help you determine fabric type. Be sure there is water in the reservoir.
2. When finished ironing, turn the fabric-select dial to 0 and unplug the iron. Important: Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered on but not in use.

SPRAY

Use to dampen tough wrinkles at any setting. 1. Be sure the iron is filled with water. 2. On first use, pump the spray button a few times.
SURGE OF STEAM
Horizontal
Tip: Use to remove stubborn creases. 1. With the water tank filled to the MAX mark, set fabric select dial to appropriate setting
(between 4 and 6) for your fabric. See fabric guide on water tank and read garment’s label to help you determine fabric type. 2. Be sure there is water in the reservoir. 3. For best performance, use surge of steam at 5-second intervals. 4. When finished ironing, turn the fabric select dial to 0 and unplug the iron. · No utilice la plancha si tiene averiado el cable, si la ha dejado caer o presenta cualquier otro daño. Para evitar el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, no desarme ni trate de reparar la plancha personalmente. Acuda a un representante de servicio autorizado para que la examinen o reparen. El reensamblaje o reparación incorrecta podría ocasionar el riesgo de incendio, choque eléctrico, o lesiones a las personas al usar el aparato nuevamente.
· No permita que el cable entre en contacto con superficies calientes. Espere que la plancha se enfríe por completo anteas de guardarla. Para guardar, enrolle el cable holgadamente en torno a la plancha.
· Todo aparato eléctrico usado en la presencia de los niños o por ellos mismos requiere la supervisión de un adulto. No desatienda la plancha cuando esté conectada o sobre la tabla de planchar.
· Las partes metálicas calientes de este aparato, al igual que el agua caliente o el vapor pueden ocasionar quemaduras. En caso de que puede haber agua caliente en el tanque, tenga cuidado al invertir una plancha de vapor o al bombear el botón de vapor.
· Este aparato no está diseñado para ser usado por personas (incluido niños) con capacidad limitada física, mental o sensoriales disminuidas y falta de experiencia o conocimiento que les impida utilizar el aparato con toda seguridad sin supervisión o instrucción.
· Se debe asegurar la supervisión de los niños para evitar que usen el aparato como juguete.
· La plancha debe usarse o colocarse en una superficie plana y firme.
– Cuando se coloca la plancha sobre el talón de descanso, asegúrese de que la superficie sea plana y firme.
– La plancha no se debe usar si se ha caído, si se ha dañado o si está goteando
· El producto no debe ser desatendido mientras esté conectado a la corriente eléctrica.
· Para evitar sobrecargas, no opere ningún otro aparato de alto consumo de corriente en el mismo circuito.
· Si el uso de un cable de extensión es absolutamente necesario, se deberá utilizar uno con un amperage igual o de más amperaje que la plancha que se vaya a utilizar. Los cables de menor amperaje se pueden sobrecalentar. Se debe tener cuidado de acomodar el cable de manera que nadie lo hale o se tropiece.

CONSERVE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES.
Este aparato eléctrico es para uso doméstico únicamente.
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO (Solamente para los modelos de 120V) Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho que el otro). A fin de reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, este enchufe encaja en una toma de corriente polarizada en un solo sentido. Si el enchufe no entra en la toma de corriente, inviértalo y si aun así no encaja, consulte con un electricista. Por favor no trate de alterar esta medida de seguridad.
TORNILLO DE SEGURIDAD Advertencia: Este aparato cuenta con un tornillo de seguridad para evitar la remoción de la cubierta exterior del mismo. CABLE ÉLECTRICO a) El producto se debe de proporcionar con un cable eléctrico corto (o uno separable),
a fin de reducir el riesgo de tropezar o de enredarse en un cable más largo.
b) Existen cables eléctricos más largos y separables o cables de extensión que uno puede utilizar si toma el cuidado debido.
c) Si se utiliza un cable separable o de extensión,
1) El régimen nominal del cable separable o del cable de extensión debe ser, como mínimo, igual al del régimen nominal del aparato.
2) Si el aparato es de conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe ser un cable de tres alambres de conexión a tierra.
3) Uno debe de acomodar el cable más largo de manera que no cuelgue del mostrador o de la mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del mismo o que alguien se tropiece.
Nota: Este aparato tiene importantes marcas en la hoja del enchufe. El enchufe o el cable entero (si el enchufe está moldeado en el cable) no es adecuado para el reemplazo. Si está dañado, el electrodoméstico debe ser remplazado. Para México solamente: Si el cable de alimentación es dañado, este debe sustituirse por personal calificado o por el centro de servicio autorizado.

PRIMEROS PASOS

Importante: Para óptimo rendimiento, se recomienda dejar reposar la plancha

durante 90 segundos antes de comenzar a planchar.

Nota: Utilice agua de la llave para llenar el tanque de la plancha. No se debe de utilizar

agua procesada por sistemas de ablandamiento.

PARA LLENAR EL TANQUE DEL AGUA
1. Sujete la cubierta del orificio de llenado de agua y hálela hacia afuera hasta que vea el orificio de agua. Tenga cuidado de no halar demasiado ya que la cubierta está conectada a la parte de adentro del orificio.
2. Incline la plancha y con la ayuda de una taza de medir, vierta agua a través del orificio de llenado hasta alcanzar la marca del nivel MAX del tanque. No exceda el nivel de llenado. Importante: Tenga cuidado de no sobrellenar la plancha. No añada agua por encima de la marca MAX del tanque. Esto puede causar que el agua se derrame por la suela de la plancha.
3. Después de llenar el tanque de agua, empuje bien la cubierta del orificio hasta quedar segura.
4. Enchufe la plancha. Consejo: Si no está seguro de la fibra del tejido, se recomienda planchar una superficie
pequeña por adentro de la prenda (una costura o un ruedo) antes de comenzar a planchar.

PLANCHADO AL VAPOR
1. Gire el selector de tejidos al ajuste apropiado (entre el 4 y el 6), según el tejido de la prenda. Consulte la guía de tejidos y lea la etiqueta de la prenda que desea planchar para determinar el tipo de tejido. Asegúrese de que haya agua en el tanque.
2. Al terminar de planchar, ajuste el selector de tejido al nivel más bajo, pase el selector a la posición 0 y desconecte la plancha. Importante: Siempre coloque la plancha sobre su talón cuando esté encendida pero no en uso.

ROCIO

Utilize para humedecer las arrugas persistentes a cualquier temperatura. 1. Asegúrese de que el tanque esté lleno de aqua. 2. Cuando use por vez primera, bombee el botón de rocio varias veces.
EMISIÓN DE VAPOR
Horizontal
Consejo: Apropiado para suavizar las arrugas persistentes.
1. Llene el tanque de agua hasta alcanzar la marca de llenado MAX y ajuste el selector de tejidos entre el nivel 4 y 6, según el tejido de la prenda. Consulte la guía de tejidos en el tanque de agua y lea la etiqueta de la prenda para determinar el tipo de tejido.
2. Asegúrese de que haya agua en el tanque. 3. Para mejor rendimiento, utilice la emisión de vapor en intervalos de 5 segundos. 4. Cuando termine de planchar, ajuste el selector de tejidos a la posición “0” y desconecte
la plancha. Importante: Siempre coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso cuando esté encendida o no en uso.

Vertical
Consejo: Ideal para suavizar las arrugas de las prendas colgantes o de las cortinas. 1. Asegúrese de que el tanque de agua esté lleno hasta el nivel MAX. 2. Cuelgue la prenda que desea vaporizar en un gancho. (Uno puede vaporizar las cortinas
una vez instaladas). 3. Ajuste el selector al nivel apropiado (entre el 5 y 6), según el tejido. 4. Sujete la plancha cerca, pero no en contacto con el tejido. 5. Hale el tejido con una mano y bombee el botón con la otra, a medida pasa la plancha
sobre la prenda.
PLANCHADO EN SECO
1. Gire el selector de emision de vapor/planchdo en seco a la posición ( ). 2. Gire el selector de tejidos a la posición adecuada para su tejido. 3. Una vez que termine de planchar, deschufe la plancha.
COMO VACIAR EL TANQUE DESPUÉS DE PLANCHAR
Nota: No es necesario vaciar el tanque después de cada uso. 1. Desconecte la plancha y permita que se enfríe. 2. Para vaciar el agua, sujete la plancha con la punta hacia abajo sobre un lavadero.
El agua sale a través del orificio de llenado.
CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

LIMPIEZA DE LAS SUPERFICIES EXTERIORES
1. Asegúrese que la plancha se encuentre desconectada y que se haya enfriado completamente.
2. Limpie la suela y las demás superficies exteriores con un paño suave humedecido con agua y con un detergente suave.
3. Nunca utilice abrasivos, limpiadores fuertes, vinagre ni esponjas abrasivas que pudiesen rallar o descolorar la plancha.
4. Después de limpiar la plancha, planche a vapor sobre un paño viejo para eliminar cualquier residuo acumulado.
LIMPIEZA AUTOMÁTICA (AUTO CLEANTM)
Consejo: A fin de mantener los orificios de vapor libres de acumulaciones, siga las siguientes instrucciones por lo menos una vez al mes: 1. Llene el tanque de agua por debajo de la línea MAX. 2. Enchufe la plancha. 3. Ajuste el selector de tejidos al nivel 6 y coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso.
Permita que la plancha se caliente. 4. Gire el selector de tejidos a la posición “0”, desconecte y sujete la plancha sobre un lavabo
con la suela orientada hacia abajo. Presione y sostenga el botón de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEANTM). Tenga cuidado del agua caliente y del vapor que emiten los orificios de vapor. Continúe sosteniendo el botón de limpieza automática (AUTO CLEANTM) hasta haber vaciado toda el agua. Si es necesario, mueva la plancha de lado a lado y de atrás para adelante. 5. Al terminar, suelte el botón, coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso y enchúfela. Permita que la plancha se caliente unos dos minutos hasta secar toda el agua sobrante.
ALMACENAJE
1. Asegúrese que el selector se encuentre ajustado a la posición 0. 2. Desconecte la plancha y permita que se enfríe completamente. 3. Coloque la plancha verticalmente sobre el talón de descanso para evitar que la suela
gotee.

Los productos que han sido alterados de alguna manera. Los daños ocasionados por el uso comercial del producto. Los productos utilizados o reparados fuera del país original de compra. Las piezas de vidrio y demás accesorios empacados con el aparato. Los gastos de tramitación y embarque asociados al reemplazo del producto. Esta Garantía cubre cualquier defecto que presenten las piezas, componentes y la mano de obra contenidas en este producto. Requisitos para hacer válida la garantía. Para reclamar su Garantía deberá presentar al Centro de Servicio Autorizado la póliza sellada por el establecimiento en donde adquirió el producto. Si no la tiene, podrá presentar el comprobante de compra original. ¿Donde hago válida la garantía? Llame sin costo al teléfono 01 800 714 2503, para ubicar el Centro de Servicio Autorizado más cercano a su domicilio en donde usted podrá encontrar partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios. Procedimiento para hacer válida la garantía Acuda al Centro de Servicio Autorizado con el producto con la póliza de Garantía sellada o el comprobante de compra original, ahí se reemplazará cualquier pieza o componente defectuoso sin cargo alguno para el usuario final. Esta Garantía incluye los gastos de transportación que se deriven de su cumplimiento.

Excepciones Esta Garantía no será válida cuando el producto: A) Se hubiese utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales. B) No hubiese sido operado de acuerdo con
