INTRODUCTION
Your whole CD collection can be stored on the B2 music player. B2 is easy to use; to start it, simply insert a CD and hit Play. But loading (or ripping) the CD onto the hard drive only requires one button click and a short period of time. As you load, the names of the Track, Album, and Artist are assigned from the internet so you can search for music by name. Though B2 has an internal database of 3.5 million CDs, you don’t need an internet connection to use it. Clear the clutter from your living area and play uninterrupted music at the push of a button. B2 maintains an exact replica of what is on the CD thanks to the use of FLAC compression, a lossless compression method. 5000 CDs can be stored on a 2Tb model as FLAC – exact copies of all your CDs made for all time. B2 may be controlled via the front panel, a remote control, the web UI, or our apps. You can control the B2 from your couch using the web UI and apps. Play various musical selections over Sonos speakers in various rooms. There are already over 40,000 stations on the internet. The music can be delivered to a high-end DAC or high-end audio equipment for uncompromised audio quality using the optical SPDIF output on the back. INTRUSTING FEATURE
The B2 can play internet radio (over 40,000 stations are supported), back up your collection to external hard drives or your computer through USB, and play high-resolution music over Bluetooth, HDMI, or Optical SPDIF in addition to backing up your complete CD library onto its hard drive. If you like, you can also use your web browser to visit the Brennan B2. When the B2 is linked to your network, a distinctive IP address will be visible. To access your complete music library, simply type that address into your browser. You can organize your collection, make playlists, and rip CDs.
CONNECTIVITY
- To accomplish the same task, connect your mobile device—such as a tablet—to your B2.
- You can stream music from Spotify or Apple Music from your phone or tablet when they are linked via Bluetooth.
- The B2 can play music that is publicly available on YouTube when it is online. Given the vast amount of music uploaded on YouTube, that is a wonderful small tool.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
Try using the Line-out and connecting it to a subwoofer amp or use the SPDIF directly into the subwoofer
Sorry, the clock format is fixed at 24H.
Don’t need an app. Just a browser. You just log in to the device’s IP address using a browser over wifi and you have complete access to its functions and playlists. The device will show its IP address on the front panel as it scrolls.
Hi William. Optical inputs on amplifiers/receivers are quite common now and provide a convenient connection for the B2. Some owners have reported an improvement in sound quality or prefer the sound when using an external DAC.
There is a built-in DAC to convert digital file to analog for output. Many(?) users don’t use the B2’s analog output. As a matter of preference, I use optical out to external DAC or to the DAC built into other components I own. Similarly, many users make this part of their Sonos speaker solution and many, such as myself, own no Sonos speakers.
Hi William. The B2 does have an internal DAC but this can be bypassed by using the optical output.
Hi Frank. Using the front control go to the Settings menu and select ‘Sorting’. Turn this ‘on’.
Hi you can also record Vinyl music on the B2
Hi sorry we do not sell the B2 without the hard drive.
