Product Information
The Pool Thermometer (Model No.: WN36AN) is a wireless device
used to measure the temperature of a pool. It comes with a user
manual for easy setup and usage. The thermometer operates on a
frequency of 868MHz and has a transmission power of 1.39dbm. It is
powered by 2 x AA 1.5V batteries (built-in) and has a battery life
of minimum 3 years, which can be extended to 5 years with idle
state enabled for 6 months per year. The dimensions of the
thermometer are 85 x 85 x 115mm.

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Switch (WN36AN)
The thermometer has a switch/button as shown in Figure 1. Use
this button for various operations.

3.2 Idle Mode
To wake up the device from idle mode, press the button for 3
seconds. When powered up, the thermometer will display the model
number (36) and RF frequency (e.g., 868MHz) for 2 seconds before
resuming normal mode operation.
3.3 Normal Mode
The device operates in normal mode by default. It will display
the current temperature reading.
4. Sensor Locating
Refer to Figure 2 for sensor locating instructions. Place the
sensor in the desired location using the parking anchor.

6. Wireless Connection
For proper functioning, ensure that the pool thermometer and
your receiver operate on the same frequency. The transmission
distance in an open field is 100m (330ft.), but may vary when the
sensor is floating on water or there are objects in between. It is
recommended to place the sensor in a sightseeing location from your
receiver, as objects in the middle can significantly reduce the RF
traveling distance. Please refer to the manuals of your receiver or
weather stations for pairing instructions.

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Switch (WN36AN)

3.2 Idle mode press button 3s to wake up the device. Once power up, it will display “36” model number and RF frequency, like 868MHz, for 2s, and resume normal mode operation.
3.3 Normal mode · quick press once to toggle Celsius or
Fahrenheit temperature unit. · Press and hold for 3s, channel number will
start to flash. Release and press once in cycle between channel 1 and 8. Leave key untouched for 10s will terminate channel setting. · Press and hold for 6s will force the device entering idle mode: LCD will be off and enter minimum power consumption state.

If you keep device in idle mode for 6 months per year, you can extend the battery life to minimum 5 years.

6. Wireless Connection
Please choose the same frequency for this pool thermometer and your receiver, which ensures them working with each other properly.
Transmission distance in open field: 100 m (330 ft.). It will be significantly different when the sensor is floating on water and there are objects in between. Please park the sensor in a sightseeing location from your receiver if possible. Something in the middle will reduce the RF traveling distance significantly. Please make proper on site checking for sensor signal reception before parking the pool thermometer.
