NOTES
- Springs should always be replaced in pairs. Please always install safety cables.
- If the garage door weighs 140 lbs. (for example) two 140 lbs. springs are required, 1 on each side.
- Once the springs are disconnected, the entire weight of the door is free and in your hands. Proceed with caution.
- Weight of door can be determined with a standard analogue scale. Springs must be disconnected. 2 people are suggested.
- With door open, always clamp below the first roller using c-clamps or block using a step ladder to prevent door from closing.
- Please adjust the spring tension if your door could not close properly.
- Door does not close all the way: That means the spring tension is high. You should move the “S” hook away from the door to decrease spring tension. Door closes too fast and slam on the floor: That means the spring tension is low. You should move the “S” hook towards the door to increase spring tension. You could also pull more cable out of the three hole adjuster plate to increase spring tension, and push cable back to decrease spring tension.
