Setting Up the Beauty Dish

1. Open the beauty dish’s vents so you can securely grip each rod.
2. Use both hands to lift opposing support rods until they click in place.
3. Once all rods are locked in place, close the vents to prevent light leaks.
4. Insert the Bowens adapter ring into the Bowens mount of your monolight, and rotate until it clicks.
5. Lock the beauty dish in place by tightening the thumbscrew.

   

Attaching the Deflector Plate

1. Screw the two reflector plate extension arms into the threaded holes.
2. Align two of the plate’s holes with the extension arms. You can use either side of the deflector plate.
3. Screw in the two thumbscrews, and tighten until secure.

   

Attaching the Diftusers

The inner and outer diffusers add two levels of diffusion that soften and spread the light for an even and tlattering effect.

1. Attach the inner dittuser by connectin each of the snaps to the ones inside the beauty dish.
2. Attach the outer diffuser by pressing the touch-connect strip against the inner rim of the beauty dish.
   if you plan on using the accessory grid (sold separately), attach the diffuser to the inner halt of the touch-connect strip to leave enough room for the grid.

   

Closing the Beauty Dish

1. Remove the beauty dish from the Bowens mount of your monolight, and open the vents.
2. Place a finger under the rod support and use your thumb to press the release button. The support rods will fold down.

   

Changing the Adapter Ring

Adapter rings for Broncolor, Elinchrom, and Profoto are available separately. Make sure to use 130 mm adapter rings.

1. Open the vents, and use a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws and washers. Then remove the thumbscrew and washer.
2. Remove the adapter ring from the beauty dish.
3. Insert the replacement adapter ring.
4. Replace the washers and screws. Make sure to insert the thumbscrew in the recessed hole. Tighten until secure.
