BRAID AND CHAIN BRACELET

1. Measure and cut two 1 m (1.1 yd) pieces in each color of embroidery thread.
   
2. Fold the threads in half and make a simple knot 2 cm (¾ in) from the fold.
   
3. Attach the loop to the Play Tray.
   
4. Take one of the threads and cover the tip with craft glue or clear nail polish. Allow 5 minutes to dry.
   
5. Pass it through the first link of the chain.
   
6. Make a simple knot as close as possible to the knot made in step 2.
   
7. Take the same thread and pass it through the last link of the chain.
   
8. Hold the chain and the thread straight and make a simple knot at the end of the chain.
   
9. Divide the threads, including the chain, into three equal parts.
   
10. Make a braid by following the illustrated steps until you reach the end of the chain.
    
11. Make a simple knot using all the threads.
    
12. Divide the threads into two equal parts.
    
13. Take one part and divide it into three equal parts.
    
14. Using the three parts, make a 10 cm (4 in) braid with a simple knot at the end.
    
15. Repeat steps 13-14 with the other half of the threads.
    
16. Cover the knots with craft glue or clear nail polish. Allow 5 minutes to dry and cut the excess lengths of thread after the knots.
    
17. Close the bracelet by using the two small braids to make a double knot around the loop.
    
18. Attach the charm of your choice onto the chain to decorate the bracelet.
    

BRAIDED BRACELET

1. Measure and cut 1 m (1.1 yd) pieces of light pink, hot pink and purple embroidery threads.
   
2. Fold the threads in half and make a simple knot 2 cm (¾ in) from the fold.
   
3. Attach the loop to the Play Tray.
   
4. Separate the threads by color.
   
5. Make one 13 cm (S in) braid.
   
6. Make a simple knot using all the threads.
   
7. Divide the threads into two equal parts.
   
8. Make two 10 cm (4 in) braids. Finish each braid by making a simple knot with the ends of the threads.
   
9. Cover the knots with craft glue or clear nail polish. Allow 5 minutes to dry and cut the excess lengths of thread after the knots.
   
10. Close the bracelet by using the two small braids to make a double knot around the loop. 
11. Attach the charm of your choice onto the chain to decorate the bracelet.
    

TASSELS

1. Measure and cut one 40 cm (15 ¾ in) piece of each color of embroidery thread.
   
2. Wrap the thread around two fingers, making sure to pass it through the jump ring every time you complete a loop.
   
3. Measure and cut one 10 cm (4 in) piece of purple embroidery thread.
4. Make a simple knot around the wrapped thread, leaving 4 cm (1 ½ in) before the knot.
   
5. Wrap the longest end of purple thread around the tassel 2 times and attach the two ends together with a double knot.
   
6. Cover the knot with craft glue or clear nail polish.
   Allow 5 minutes to dry and cut off any excess thread after the knot.
   
7. Trim the ends of the tassel evenly. It should be 2.5 cm (1 in) long.
   
8. Repeat steps 1 through 7 to make the other 2 tassels.
   

HEISHI BEAD BRACELETS

1. Measure and cut 30 cm (12 in) of elastic cord.
   
2. Attach the 30 cm (12 in) cord to the Play Tray with a piece of adhesive tape.
   
3. Thread the heishe beads, the faceted beads and the tassels onto the cord following the sequence shown.
   
4. A Tie off the bracelet with a double knot.
   B Secure the knot by covering it with a drop of craft glue or clear nail polish.
   Allow 5 minutes to dry and cut off any excess cord after the knot.
   
5. Attach the charms of your choice to decorate the beaded bracelet.
   
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 to make the other five beaded bracelets.
