The PORTER&CHARLES (P&C) Range Hood is a high-quality
kitchen appliance designed to effectively remove cooking fumes from
your kitchen while operating quietly. It is manufactured with
top-quality materials and features a streamlined design that adds
elegance to your kitchen. The range hood comes in two models:
Pyramid-30 and Pyramid-36, both with a power supply of 110-120V,
60Hz, airflow of 500 CFM, and an outlet diameter of 150mm. The
range hood also has a rated input power of 97W or 99W, depending on
the model, and a motor power of 95W. The lighting power for
Pyramid-30 is 1x2W, while Pyramid-36 has 2x2W lighting power.

Installation Instructions

  1. For safety and optimum performance, mount the range hood at a
    distance of 24 inches (600mm) from an electric or induction cooktop
    and 30 inches (762mm) above a gas cooktop. If the gas cooktop
    installation instructions specify a greater distance, follow those
    instructions. The exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue
    used for exhausting fumes from other appliances burning gas or
    other fuels.
  2. To install onto the wall, drill two 8mm holes on either side of
    the center point of the range hood in a sturdy wall at 3.54 inches
    (90mm) distance. Mount the bracket on the wall in an appropriate
    place.
  3. Insert expanding screws into the holes and fix the drilling
    template on the wall.
  4. Add the duct (alternative part) and connect it to the kitchen
    outlet vent with screws.
  5. Take out the inner chimney with the outer chimney together from
    the range hood.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Clean the surface of the range hood every week with mild soap
    or detergent, avoiding solvents, acid, alkali, scouring pads, or
    powder that could irreparably damage the stainless steel
    surface.
  2. The grease filters may be washed using mild soap, detergent, or
    degreasing agents.
  3. The filters can be washed in a dishwasher.
  4. The charcoal filters cannot be cleaned and must be replaced
    after 6 months of use.

Installation (duct is not supplied)
1. The range hood should be mounted at a distance of 24″ (600mm) from an electric or induction cooktop, and 30″ (762mm) above a gas cooktop for safety and optimum performance (see pie 1). If the instructions for installation of the gas cooktop specify a greater distance, this has to be taken into account. The exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which is used for exhausting fumes from other appliances burning gas or other fuels.
2. To install onto the wall, drill 2 holes of <I>8mm in a sturdy wall 3. 54’ c90mm> on either side of centre point of range hood. And mount the bracket on the wall in an appropriate place (see pie 2).
3. Insert expanding screws into the holes (see pie 2). 4. Fix drilling template on the wall. 5. Add the duct (alternative part) and connect it to the kitchen outlet
vent with screws (see pie 3). 6.Take out the inner chimney with outer chimney together from the
package. Pick out one of the brackets from the accesories. Using two screws M4X8 to lock the bracket on the outer chimney top (see pie 6 ). 7. Put outer chimney and inner chimney together on the main body (see pie 4). Pull out the inner chimney and fix the inner chimney to the bracket by screws. Then insert the outer chimney, the outer chimney should be fixed on the main body by screws (see pie 5). 8. Ensure that the wall the hood is to be installed on is sufficiently sturdy to carry the weight of the hood. It should be mounted level for best performance. 9. Do not connect to a common vent with any other appliances such as a gas heater, water heater, washer/dryer,etc. 10. The duct should not be bent more then 120° from the one way valve outlet in the kitchen vent. 11.Check to make sure that the electrical cord is not in contact with sharp edges of the appliance. 12.Be sure that the plug is accessible after installation.

13. For ductless installations (or recirculation instruction), remove the label on the underside of the hood indicating installation of a charcoal filter. Attach charcoal filter, part CF-B, by placingin openingand clippingin place.

Grounding Instructions
o This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
o Warning – Improper grounding can result in a risk of electric shock.
o Consult a qualified electrician if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
o Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet near the appliance.

Safety Information
o There must be permanent and adequate ventilation of the room when operating the range hood with appliances burning gas or other fuels.
o Do not check the status of the filters when the range hood is operating – wait at least 30 minutes after switching off to avoid scalding.
o Do not touch the LED light within 30 minutes after appliance use.
o Avoid operating a gas cooktop when there is no pan on the stove. It is a fire hazard and may cause damage to the hood filters.
o Disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance.
o This appliance is not intended for use by young children unless they have been adequately supervised by a reasonable person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
o The range hood is for home use only and is not suitable for outdoor, barbeque, and other commercial applications.
o The range hood and its filter should be cleaned regularly for best performance.
o Before cleaning, please confirm that the power is switched off.
o Building regulations concerning the discharge of exhaust air have to be fulfilled.
o Do not cook with an open flame under the range hood. o For any technical issues ensure that a suitably
qualified person handles any repairs or inspections.
