INTRODUCTION
The BIC Formula FH56-BAR provides authentic 5-channel theatre sound in a discrete design. This speaker offers a proprietary, cutting-edge method to deliver discrete multichannel theatre sound from a single speaker, unlike other “All-In-One” soundbars. Due to its proprietary technology, a single driver can reproduce numerous channels while working in tandem with other drivers to generate an enlarged soundstage that is truly lifelike. Enjoy five distinct channels of precisely focused sound with an 8-foot soundstage, as well as ambient rear channel effects without any actual speakers behind the listening area.
Thank you for purchasing the BIC/Formula FH56-BAR Bar Speaker System. The patent-pending design of this speaker enables it to be used for one (1) or up to five (5) channels for front or rear.
* CONNECTING to RECEIVER/AMPLIFIER (see labels on back of speaker):
When using the 3-channel mode for the front: connect the left front channel (A), center (B), and right front channel (C) to the corresponding channel on your receiver/amplifier.
When using the 5-channel mode, in addition to the connections described above, also connect the right rear surround (D) and left rear surround (E) to the corre-sponding terminals on the receiver/amplifier.
Connection: For best performance, use a minimum of 18-gauge wire for runs up to 15 feet; and 16-gauge wire for distances of more than 15 feet. Make certain that the wire is connected with the same coded side to positive (+) and the other coded side to negative (–) for all terminals. For example, if the “red” colored side of the wire is to the positive (+) channel, make certain all of the positive (+) channels on the speaker and receiver/amplifier are connected to the “red” side of the wire. Otherwise, there will be a diminished bass and imaging. Other common wire coded indicators are colors, printing, or upraised ridges. Push down on the gold-plated binding posts to insert speaker wire into the holes.
PLACEMENT/ATTACHMENT
The Soundbar, if used for the front channels, should be placed above or below the video screen. It is best if the speaker is as close to the bottom or top of the screen as possible, so that sound seems to be coming from the screen.
The Soundbar may be placed on a stand of your choice, or attached to the wall. Wall attachment can be accomplished by placing (2) screws in your wall and hanging the bar from the keyholes placed at 16˝ center on the back of the bar.
SUBWOOFER
The Formula FH56-BAR Bar Speaker delivers the low frequencies down to 37 Hz. For extended bass output, add a subwoofer to the FH56-BAR speaker system.
