How do I reset my refrigerator?

If you have a problem with your refrigerator, the first thing you should do is to reset the unit. To reset the unit, unplug it from the wall and wait for 10 minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. If the problem persists, please contact LG customer service at 1-800-243-0000 for further assistance.

What is the most common problem with LG refrigerators?

The most common culprit is a faulty seal, which can stop the compressor from being able to run. So, if your fridge is running but not cooling, then there is a good chance you have an issue with your compressor. If this is the issue, you will need to call in a licensed technician to repair it.

What should I do if my refrigerator makes a noise?

If your refrigerator makes a noise that you think is unusual, first check to see if there is a removable panel or access door that can be opened to inspect the source of the sound. If you find that there is not an access panel or door, then check all of your food and make sure that nothing is blocking any of the moving parts inside of your refrigerator. If you still hear a noise coming from your refrigerator after this check, then please contact LG customer service at 1-800-243-0000 for further assistance.

How do I clean my fridge?

You should always clean your refrigerator regularly in order to keep it running at its best and to maintain its appearance. To clean your refrigerator, you can use warm water and mild soap or detergent. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on any part of your appliance as this may damage the finish on some parts of your appliance. Please be sure to always unplug your appliance before cleaning it.

How do I change my filter?

Your filter can be changed by opening the door on the bottom right side of your refrigerator. The filter will be located directly above where you open the door. You will need to remove this filter in order to change it out for a new one. The old filter can be disposed of by placing it in a plastic bag and putting it in with your regular trash or recycling bin. Be sure that you have replaced this filter with a new one before closing up your appliance again.

What is the fridge Temperature Set To?

The recommended temperature settings are 37° Fahrenheit for the refrigerator, and 0° Fahrenheit for the freezer. If additional cooling is required, lower the temperature a few degrees.

What are the benefits of LG refrigerator?

Refrigeration slows bacterial growth. Bacteria exist everywhere in nature. They are in the soil, air, water, and the foods we eat. When they have nutrients (food), moisture, and favorable temperatures, they grow rapidly, increasing in numbers to the point where some types of bacteria can cause illness.

What is the best temperature for LG freezer?

The recommended temperature setting for your refrigerator is 37 degrees, and the recommended temperature for your freezer is 0 degrees. Your LG refrigerator also gives you the option to change the temperature mode from Celsius to Fahrenheit or vice versa.

What’s best setting for fridge freezer?

The ideal fridge temperature is between 37°F (3°C) and 40°F (5°C). Your freezer temperature should be at 0°F (-18°C).

What number is the coldest setting on a freezer?

Some Bottom Freezer refrigerators have digital temperature controls located inside the fresh food compartment. These internal controls show temperature ranges with the numerical ranking of 1-9 with 9 being the coldest.

Why is my LG fridge not getting cold enough?

Check if the power cord is fully plugged in. Try unplugging the unit or trip the circuit breaker for 30 seconds to RESET THE REFRIGERATOR. You should hear the compressor kick back on and the unit will stabilize and start cooling within 24 hours.

Why side walls of the LG fridge are very hot?

Refrigerators generate heat during the process of making cold air. In order to cool this heat down, heat dissipation pipes are installed on both outer walls of the refrigerator, so when the product is operated, heat is generated on the side walls of the refrigerator.
