Silicone Breast Pump
- Make sure that the Koalaa® Silicone Breast Pump is thoroughly cleaned and sterilized before use.
- Place the lid of silicone breast pump over your nipple: Ensure your nipple is in the neck of the pump and comfortable.
- Apply suction: You may need to adjust a couple of times for efficacy. Once the breast pump is secure and comfortable, you can squeeze the base of the pump (not interfering with the top/suction) to create some movement.
- Gently massage the top of your breast to encourage milk flow.
Tip: Placing a warm flannel on your breast will help milk flow also. - Let the breast pump do its thing! Once milk begins to flow, simply leave the pump to pump your milk unaided.
- Empty the breast pump: Once the pump is full, empty into the milk storage bottle / bag of your choice and reposition. Or choose to place the lid on top.
- Clean after each use: This product can be sterilized with any steam sterilizing system or in boiling water. See our Koalaa® double bottle warmer which includes sterilization.
- Place the lid after every use back on top of the breast pump.
