FAQ’S
If your rechargeable hearing aid doesn’t have a battery door, it contains a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. These batteries take about 3-4 hours to fully charge and will power your hearing aids for about 24 hours per charge. The battery itself should last for the entire life of the hearing aid, typically 4-5 years.
The first one is a volume. Control. You can change volume from right and left ear separately or tap this icon to put them together as one slider drag the slider up to increase volume.
The button allows you to change to way the hearing aid operates for using in different situations, for example using in noisy situations or where there is a loop system. On most aids, moving the volume control downwards will reduce the volume.
Connect transmitter to power cord and plug into power supply. Both lights on front of the transmitter should blink blue. Start TV streaming Switch your hearing aids to the television program via app, hearing aid rocker switch, Smart Mic, or Smart Key.
Pairing your hearing aid with an Android device
Locate, then tap the Settings icon on your device. Select Bluetooth. In this screen, if Bluetooth appears Off, change the settings to On. Then, turn your hearing aids off and then back on (this puts your hearing aids into pairing mode).
Hearing aids should be worn during waking hours. When going to bed for the night, you should remove your hearing aids and open the battery door, if you have one, to help conserve battery life.
Your hearing aids are water-resistant, which means they are designed to be worn in all daily life situations. So you don’t have to worry about sweat or getting wet in the rain. However, do not wear your hearing aids while showering or participating in water activities.
If your hearing aids are working but the sound seems to be muffled or too soft, there is likely a buildup of wax on the microphone or earmold. Try thoroughly cleaning your hearing aid.
The easiest way to ensure calls are routed through your hearing aids is to answer phone calls using the multi-function button of the hearing aid. For outgoing calls, initiate the call normally. Depending on your phone configuration, the call will be routed to the hearing aids automatically.
In most cases, you need to replace it once a month or if your hearing aid doesn’t sound as loud or is distorted.
Moisture in your ear canal can cause the device to move around. The hearing aid also may change position from jaw movement when you talk or chew. If you use a dome on your hearing aid, try adjusting to a smaller or larger size. A retention wire may also need to be added by your audiologist.
The wax loop or brush from a cleaning kit are the best tools to gently scoop any wax away from the opening of the sound tip. Behind the ear hearing aids come with tubes that can also become blocked with earwax. Remove it, check for any blockages, and remove them with either a small, bendable wire or an air blower.
