Tips from the Chef

	Toasting Your toaster oven can fit up to 6 slices of bread. If your bread isn’t evenly toasted, try toasting only 4 slices at a time.
	Cleaning the Crumb Tray Clean the crumb tray at the bottom after using. Accumulated grease and crumbs can overheat and even catch fire.
	Unplug Your toaster oven is a powerful appliance. To save energy, unplug it when you’re done cooking.
	Accessorize You can step up your baking by investing in cupcake pans, bread pans, ceramic souffle cups, and anything you’d use for a full-size oven.
	More Isn’t Always Better Don’t let your oven get cramped. Putting too much food in the oven can cause uneven cooking. If food touches the eating elements, it will burn.

	Wrapping Up Line the trays or racks with foil, parchment paper, or baking paper to protect the enamel on the trays, catch grease, and to provide easy cleanup. Wrap food in foil for easier baking. WARNING: Use extreme caution when using foil or paper. Fit foil as securely as possible. The paper must be secured by placing food on top of it. Foil or paper must never touch the heating elements to avoid a fire hazards.
	Always Use Mitts Be careful not to burn your skin. Every part of the oven, including the outside surface, is hot during and after cooking. Make sure to wear gloves or mitts when handling trays or other accessories.
	Thawing Meat Wait for the meat to reach room temperature before you cook it. This allows the inside and outside of the meat to cook evenly.
	Using the Fan The convection fan circulates hot air in the oven for faster and more even cooking.  Use the high fan speed for crispier results. For example, if you’re roasting a large chicken, use the high fan speed to dry out the skin faster for a crispier roast.
	Keep the Oven Door Closed Avoid opening the oven door for more than 2–3 seconds to check on your food.  The oven temperature will drop significantly, and your food may be undercooked.

TOAST, BAGEL

1. Turn the FUNCTION knob to select cooking function
2. Optional: Turn TIME/TEMP knob to select Darkness Level
3. Place food in the oven
4. Press START/CANCEL
5. The oven will beep & the display will blink when finished

PIZZA, BAKE, ROAST, AIR FRY, BROIL, COOKIES

1. Turn the FUNCTION knob to select a cooking function
2. Optional: Turn TIME/TEMP knob to set time
3. Optional: Press and turn TIME/TEMP knob to set temperature
4. Press START/CANCEL to preheat
5. Oven will beep & the display will blink when done preheating
6. Place food in the oven
7. Press START/CANCEL again
8. Oven will beep & the display will blink when finished

ROTISSERIE, DEHYDRATE, FERMENT, WARM

1. Turn the FUNCTION knob to select a cooking function
2. Optional: Turn TIME/TEMP knob to set time
3. Optional: Press and turn TIME/TEMP knob to set temperature
4. Place food in the oven
5. Press START/CANCEL
6. Oven will beep & the display will blink when finished

CONTROLS QUICK REFERENCE CHART

• You may adjust the time and temperature anytime during cooking (except while preheating).
• Time and temperature are automatic for the Toast / Bagel functions.

Adjusting Time	Turn TIME/TEMP knob.
	If you’re adjusting temperature, press the TIME/TEMP knob to switch to time.
	Adjusts by +/- 1 minute below 60 minutes, +/- 5 minutes for 1-2 hours, +/- 10 minutes for 2-3 hours, and +/- 15 minutes above 3 hours.
	Dehydrate / Ferment: Adjusts by +/- 30 minutes.
Adjusting Temperature	Press TIME/TEMP knob once. Then, turn the TIME/TEMP knob
	Adjusts by +/- 5•F.
Controlling Light	Press
	Light will turn on automatically with 1 minute of cook time lc’
Switching Temperature Units	Press and hold opt to switch between Fahrenheit / Celsius.
Controlling Fan	Press to cycle through fan speeds: normal, high, and off.
	The fan can be used for all functions except Toast or Bagel. Speed cannot be changed with Air Fry and Dehydrate.
