SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: Before using the battery charger Read the user manual carefully.

• Do not use to recharge small batteries or non-rechargeable batteries.
• The device is suitable for indoor use only. Do not expose to rain or excessive moisture.
• A battery can emit explosive gases during charging, prevent flames and sparks. DO NOT SMOKE. Place the batteries to be charged in a well-ventilated place.

CONNECTION

• Make sure the charger’s power supply is disconnected before plugging or unplugging the battery connections
• Always make sure that the red clamp is connected to the «+» battery terminal. If it is necessary to connect the black clamp to the car chassis, make sure it is at a safe distance from the fuel /exhaust pipe.
• After charging, disconnect the charger from the mains, first disconnect the clamp from the vehicle body and then disconnect the clamp connected to the battery.
• Do not operate the device with a damaged power supply cord or a damaged power plug.
• Do not use the device if the charging cable appears damaged or improperly installed

General Description
AUTO 2420 and AUTO 4820 chargers are ideal for charging most lead-acid batteries, which are often used in cars and many other vehicles.
It can be easily used to charge GEL (gel electrolyte), AGM (Absorbant Glass Mat), WET, MF (Maintenance Free), CA (Calcium) type batteries.
With its 3-stage current option, it provides the batteries to reach full charge by following the 4-step charging curve at the current suitable for the battery size.

Start-Up

Connect the charger clamps to the battery, taking care of the polarity.
Always connect the input cable of the device to a grounded outlet (1 ~ 200-240Vac 50-60Hz).
Select the charging mode according to the type of battery and Ah value. (Choose one of the current steps shown as min, med, max with the help of the table on the label of the device.)
To charge batteries other than standard lead-acid batteries ( GEL (gel electrolyte), AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat), WET, MF (Maintenance Free – Maintenance Free), CA (Calcium) ) press and hold the volt level button for 3 seconds to change the battery type.
Turn charger’s fuse is on, it will automatically switch to the voltage level suitable for the battery voltage. If you want to change this level, you can switch it while the level leds are flashing. This step cannot be changed once the charging process has started.

After charging, unplug the charger from the electrical outlet, then disconnect the clamps from the battery.

Charging Curve

1. STEP 1 : Bulk Charge
   Depending on the condition of the battery and the selected stage, charging starts at constant current and restores 80% of the battery’s capacity.
2. STEP 2 : Absorption
   Charging continues at low current to ensure safe and effective charging. This limits the gassing of the battery and is necessary to prolong battery life. Battery voltage is kept constant.
3. STEP 3 : Desulfation
   A higher charge voltage is applied to the battery plates in order to remove sulfates.
4. STEP 4 : Maintenance
   Maintains battery charge level at its maximum.

Warranty

The warranty covers faulty workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase (parts and labour). Our warranty coverage is limited to the manufacturing defects of our machines. The use of machines other than their intended purpose, failure to comply with the conditions in the user manual, making incorrect network connections, not using original accessories, maintenance and repair of the machine other than the authorized service within the warranty period, and malfunctions that may occur as a result of natural disasters are not covered by the warranty. In addition, the accessories supplied with the machine are limited to the warranty of the manufacturers of these goods.

• If the goods fail within the warranty period, the time spent in repair is added to the warranty period. The repair time of the goods is a maximum of 20 working days.
• Technical services authorized by Demiriz and Demiriz determine whether the malfunction of the goods is under warranty.
• The authorized service or Demiriz determines the repair place (where it is used or the service workshop) and its shape.
• In the event that the product malfunctions due to manufacturing errors within the warranty period; It will be repaired without any charge under labor cost, replacement part cost or any other name. The properties of the product are clearly stated in the “Operating Manual”. Malfunctions resulting from the use of the product contrary to the points in the user manual are out of warranty.
