  5. Use extension cords specifically designed for outdoor use, such
    as cord types SEW, SEOW, SEOOW, SOW, SOOW, STW, STOW, STOOW, SJEW,
    SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW, SJOOW, SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW.
  6. Avoid using extension cords near water or areas where water may
    accumulate. Keep work lights at least 16 feet (5m) away from pools
    and spas. Keep plugs and receptacles dry.
  7. The product is suitable for wet location use.
  8. Do not operate the work light if the light containment barrier
    is missing or damaged.
  9. Avoid submerging the work light in water.
  10. Ensure that the cord does not obstruct walkways or common
    areas.
  11. Wear ANSI-approved goggles during setup and use.
  12. Avoid operating the work light in explosive atmospheres, where
    flammable liquids, gases, or dust are present. Sparks generated by
    the work light may ignite the dust or fumes.
  13. Avoid abusing the cord. Never use it for carrying, pulling, or
    unplugging the work light. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp
    edges, or moving parts to reduce the risk of electric shock.

WARNING: When using outdoor use portable luminaires, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, including the following:

1. Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords that have three-prong grounding plugs and grounding receptacles that accept the appliance’s plug.
2. Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection is to be provided on the circuit(s) or outlet(s) to be used. Receptacles are available having built-in GFCI protection and are able to be used for this measure of safety.
3. Use only with an extension cord for outdoor use, such as an extension cord of cord type SEW, SEOW, SEOOW, SOW, SOOW, STW, STOW, STOOW, SJEW, SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW, SJOOW, SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW.
4. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: Do not use with an extension cord near water or where water may accumulate. Keep Work Lights at least 16 feet (5m) from pools and spas. Keep plugs and receptacles dry.

6. Do not operate the Work Light with a missing or damaged light containment barrier.

11. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the Work Light. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
12. Maintain the Work Light. Check for breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the Work Light’s operation. If damaged, have it repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained items.
13. Maintain labels and nameplates on the Light. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
14. Do not leave the Work Light unattended when it is plugged into an electrical outlet. Unplug it from its electrical outlet before leaving.
15. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children.

16. People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure. In addition, people with pacemakers should:
· Avoid operating alone.
· Properly maintain and inspect to avoid electrical shock.

· Any power cord must be properly grounded. Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) should also be implemented ­ it prevents sustained electrical shock.

Installation
1. Secure each light to mounting surface with included hook and loop straps.
2. Secure cord between each light and power cord to mounting surface with cable ties (sold separately).

3. Connecting Cords To reduce the risk of the cord plugs pulling apart, do one of the following:

a. Make a knot as shown below, then connect the cords:

b. Or, use a plug-receptacle retaining strap or connector designed to hold extension cords ends together.

Operating Instructions

Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS section at the beginning of this manual, including all text under subheadings therein before setup or use of this product.

1. Plug String Work Light into a grounded 120VAC GFCI electrical outlet.

2. To prevent accidents, unplug String Work Lights after use.

Maintenance
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.

TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION: Unplug the Work Light from its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section.

TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM LIGHT FAILURE: Do not use damaged equipment. If damage is noted, have the problem corrected before further use.

1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the Work Light. Check for: · loose hardware, · misalignment or binding of moving parts · damaged cord/electrical wiring, · cracked or broken parts, and · any other condition that may affect its safe operation.

2. AFTER USE, wipe external surfaces of the Work Light with a clean cloth.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: If the power cord of this light is damaged, it must be replaced only by a qualified service technician.
