Step 6: Lid and Handle Assembly

Test whether the lid can be easily pushed into the box. Without
a handle component (DR), it is very difficult to push the lid out
of the box because the magnets hold the lid very tightly. You can
put a string around the lid with which you can pull the lid forward
again. If the lid is difficult to slide out, you can grind the lid
thinner on the underside. Pay attention to the magnet.

Glue the handle DR onto the lid D. If the magnet protrudes
slightly upwards from the lid, you can grind a recess in the handle
DR. Sand all protrusions on the outside of the box flat. You can
round off the corners and edges slightly so that the box feels
better in your hand.

Step 7: Surface Treatment

Finally, you can paint the wooden surface with quicksanding
primer or another surface treatment.

Trennen Sie alle Teile vorsichtig aus den zwei Sperrholz-Brettchen heraus und glätten Sie die Reste der Haltestege. Als erstes werden die zwei Magnete in den Halter E und den Deckel D eingeklebt. Hierzu rauen Sie die Seiten des Magneten an und entfetten die zwei Magnete gut. Das Loch und der Magnet werden mit Epoxid-Kleber eingestrichen und die Magnete in die Löcher gedrückt. Achten Sie darauf, dass sich die zwei Magnete auch wirklich anziehen. Der Magnet muss auf der Unterseite des Deckels bündig abschließen, ebenso auf einer Seite des Halters E. Kleben Sie das Bauteil F auf die Unterseite des Halters E, Das Bauteil F dient zum Schutz, dass der Magnet nicht aus dem Halter herausfallen kann. Hervorgequollenen Kleber wischen Sie gut ab.

Kleben Sie die obere Abdeckung E mit Weißleim in die Box. Auf der Seite des Magneten müssen Sie die Abdeckung an die Box anklammern. Wischen Sie überschüssigen Weißleim ab und achten Sie insbesondere darauf, dass kein Kleber in die Führung des Deckels gelangt.

Sie können einen Faden um den Deckel legen, mit dem Sie den Deckel wieder vorziehen können. Sollte der Deckel schwergängig sein, können Sie den Deckel auf der Unterseite flächig dünner schleifen. Achten Sie hierbei auf den Magneten.
