KOHLER 78059-RL-0 Rutledge White Round Slow-Close Toilet Seat

CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Avoid liquids contacting the battery pack.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Batteries must be oriented correctly within the battery pack.
NOTE: A 10-hour light cycle reoccurs daily. To set the cycle time, turn ON the light at the desired start time.

1. Unthread the screw. Fold the anchor.
2. Push into the hole.
3. Verify that the anchor unfolds completely when installed
4. Some Models: Install the bumpers.
5. Remove the battery pack
6. Insert the four AA batteries. Verify proper position.
7. Verify that the hinge pins are inserted.
8. Insert the battery pack
9. Position the seat over the holes
10. Tighten the screws
11. Follow the remaining instructions for quick release and adjustments
12. Unlock the latches
13. Grip the seat near the hinges and pull the seat straight up.
14. Adjustment: Loosen the screws. Rotate the seat mount to move the seat position
15. Position the latches over the studs.
16. Press firmly on the latches until they snap onto the studs.
17. Verify that the seat is aligne with the toilet. Adjust as needed. Tighten the screws.
18. Lock the latches and close the covers.
19. Press the button once to turn light on HIGH, twice for MEDIUM, and again for LOW. Hold to turn off.
20. Maintenance: Batteries last about 6 months on HIGH, or 12 months on LOW. The unit resets to HIGH when the batteries are replaced
21. Change the batteries when the light flashes red.

Troubleshooting

The light does not turn on.

1. Check the batteries. Change as needed.
2. Press the power button to restart the 10-hour lighted cycle.

The battery terminal is wet.

1. Remove the battery pack and allow to dry completely.
2. Check the batteries. Change as needed.
3. Press the power button to restart the 10-hour lighted cycle.

The battery pack does not fit.

1. Check that the hinge dampers are completely inserted into the hinge.
2. Press down on the toilet mounting arms to flex the plastic and to allow clearance while inserting the battery pack.
