M3710i Performance Speakers
Product Information:
The DLS Performance Speakers M3710i are a 3-way coaxial system
designed to provide high-quality sound. These speakers have a 7 x
10-inch size and feature a bass driver, midrange driver, and
tweeter. The silk dome tweeter measures 25 mm, while the mylar
midrange driver measures 20 mm. The speakers have an impedance of 4
ohms and a maximum RMS power of 120 watts. The frequency range of
these speakers is 30Hz – 20 kHz. The magnet size is 138 mm and the
mounting hole dimensions are 240 x 170 mm. The recommended mounting
depth is 95 mm.
It is important to perform a correct installation to ensure
optimal sound performance. The speakers should be connected using
high-quality speaker cables, and the polarity should be observed
when connecting the cables to the terminals.
Before using the speakers at their full potential, it is
recommended to allow a break-in period of at least 15-20 hours at
normal volume.
The DLS Performance Speakers M3710i come with a warranty, and
warranty service can be obtained by including the original dated
receipt (or a copy) with the returned product.
Product Usage Instructions:
- If you feel confident and have the proper tools, you can
install the speakers yourself. However, if you are unsure, it is
recommended to seek assistance from someone more experienced. - Ensure that you use high-quality speaker cables and avoid
jamming them to prevent short circuits. - Connect the cables to the speakers with correct polarity,
following the markings on the terminals. Connect the black cable to
the small terminal for the woofer and tweeter/mid, and the blue
cable to the big terminal for the woofer. - To confirm correct speaker polarity, you can use a 1.5 Volt
battery. Connect the battery plus-pole to the speaker plus and the
battery minus to the speaker minus. The speaker cone should move in
the same direction on both the right and left channels. - Allow a break-in period of at least 15-20 hours at normal

Welcome Thank you for buying a DLS speaker. Install the speakers yourself if you feel confident with our instructions and if you have the proper tools. A poor installation job can destroy the final result even from these speakers, so if you feel unsure, turn over the installation job to someone better suited to it.
Three-way coaxial system These speakers have a very good sound but as always it is important to do a correct installation.
Installation Speaker drivers: This kind of speakers are usually mounted in the car’s parcel shelf. In some older car’s it may also be possible to install them in the door. We recommend you to install the drivers in a strong baffle of MDF-board or similar, this will improve the sound very much. It is important to fasten the speakers properly in order to avoid bad sound or rattling. The speakers are heavy so they must be fastened securely to prevent danger to occupants in a collision or sudden braking.
Filter boxes: We use separate crossovers (filters) with high class components to these speakers in order to get the best possible sound. Attach the filter boxes properly to the interior of the vehicle to avoid rattling. Don’t place them close to the internal wiring of the car, this can cause interference. Install the filter boxes in a dry place. Fasten them with wire ties. Connect them as in the drawing in this manual. The filters must be used, if you connect without them the sound becomes bad and you will destroy the tweeter.
Wiring: Use high quality speaker cables. Make sure the cables don’t get jammed causing a short circuit to ground. This can damage the output circuits of your head unit or amplifier.
Break-in period Allow the speakers to play at normal volume for at least 15-20 hours. After this time the performance will be correct. Warranty service This speaker is covered by warranty, depending on the conditions in the country where it is sold. If the speaker is returned for service, please include the original dated receipt (or a copy) with the product.

Speaker phasing To be sure to have the correct speaker polarity (phase) you can check this by using a 1,5 Volt battery. Connect a cable from the battery plus-pole to the speaker plus, and a cable from the battery minus to the speaker minus.
When the speakers are correctly connected the speaker cone should move in the same direction on both right and left channel. This check must be made on the cables going from the speakers, to the output terminals of your car stereo or amplifier.

Tack för att du köpt en DLS bilhögtalare.
Med hjälp av instruktionen kan du göra installationen själv om du känner att du har kunskap och rätt verktyg, men en dålig installation kan medföra att sluresultatet blir dåligt. Så om du känner dig det minsta osäker bör du lämna över jobbet till en fackman.
Tre-vägs koaxialhögtalare Dessa högtalare utmärker sig genom sitt fina ljud men det är viktigt att göra en riktig installation för att högtalarens goda egenskaper ska komma fram.
Inkoppling av högtalarna
Se till att du ansluter högtalarkablarna med rätt polaritet. Observera färgmärkningen på anslutningsterminalerna.

Installation Högtalare: En högtalare av denna typ monteras oftast i hatthyllan, eller i vissa äldre bilar kan det finnas plats i dörrsidan. Om det finns möjlighet så förstärk monteringen med en baffel av MDF-board eller liknande, detta förbättrar ljudet. Fäst högtalaren ordentligt så den inte lossnar vid en eventuell kollision eller hastig inbromsning.
Delningsfilter: Vi använder oss av ett separat delningsfilter med högklassiga komponenter för att erhålla en så bra ljudkvalitet som möjligt.De medföljande filtren bör fästas ordentligt så de inte ligger och skramlar. Undvik dock att placera filtren nära bilens egna kabelstammar, detta kan orsaka störningar. Undvik om möjligt även montering av filtren inuti dörrsidan. Det kan lätt komma in fukt i filtren. Filtren kopplas in enligt skissen till höger.
Filtren måste användas. Kopplar du in högtalaren utan filter blir ljudet dåligt, och den kan dessutom gå sönder!
Kablar: Använd kablar av hög kvalitet. Se till så att kablarna inte kommer i kläm någonstans, de kan då kortsluta till jord och orsaka dyra reparationer av stereo eller slutsteg.
Inspelning av högtalare Låt högtalaren spela in sig ca 15 – 20 timmar. Efter denna tid så har högtalaren erhållit sina rätta värden och ger då en korrekt ljudåtergivning.
GARANTISERVICE DLS lämnar två års garanti mot material och fabrikationsfel. Vid reklamation skall kopia av kvitto eller annat köpbevis bifogas reparationen.

Kontroll av högtalarnas fasning Du kan kontrollera högtalarnas fasning (polaritet) med hjälp av ett vanligt 1,5 volts ficklampsbatteri. Anslut en kabel från batteriets plus-pol till högtalarens d:o och en kabel från batteriets minus-pol till högtalarens minus. Om du kopplat högtalarna rätt skall konen nu röra sig åt samma håll på både höger och vänster kanal. Denna kontroll gör du på kablarna som ansluts till högtalarutgångarna på bilstereon eller slutsteget.
