Other Consumer Safety Information
This appliance is intended for household use only.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with a polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet. The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used.
The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
An extension cord should be connected to the appliance first, before it is plugged into the outlet.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit with this appliance. Do not store grill vertically on side or back. Always use an oven mitt to protect hand when opening the grill.

How to Grill
Burn Hazard. Always use an oven mitt to protect hands from contact with hot surfaces and steam during grilling. This will cook the food on both sides at the same time and is
the quickest method. Ensure the drip tray is in place before grilling.

- Red Power light will illuminate when plugged into outlet.

- Green Preheat light will come on when preheated. Place food to be cooked onto grill plate with plastic utensil. Use only nonmetal utensils on grill/griddle plates. Metal utensils will scratch the surface.
- Lower grill lid.

- Lift lid to check food. When done, carefully remove food from grill with plastic utensil.

How to Use Griddle
WARNING Burn Hazard. Always use an oven mitt to protect hand from contact with hot surfaces and steam during grilling.
- There are two ways to use the griddle. Choose the griddle/grill combination for a grilled flavor.

- For two griddle plates, align tabs on the back of the plates with openings and press to click into place. This can be used for a full breakfast spread.
- Plug into an outlet. Slide drip tray into place. Open unit for more cooking surface (this requires turning the food and a longer cooking time).

- Preheat grill by turning the temperature control dial to desired temperature with the lid closed.
- The Green Preheat light will come on when preheated. Lift lid straight up to disengage locked hinge. Lower lid as far as it will go to rest on the countertop.

- Place food to be cooked onto griddle plates.
- Turn food halfway through cooking. Carefully remove food from griddle with plastic utensil.

- Unplug unit and allow to cool before cleaning. Do not attempt to remove drip tray until cool.
How to Cook Bacon

- Plug into outlet.
- Preheat to 400ºF (204ºC) with lid closed. Green Preheat light will come on when preheated. Open lid and place slices of bacon on bottom grill plate.

- Lower lid and cook bacon to desired doneness. Regular sliced bacon is crisp in 7 to 10 minutes.
NOTE: Cooking bacon with the cover down helps eliminate grease splatters. - When bacon is done, lift cover and remove bacon with plastic utensil.

FAQS
Yes it can. It has a foot on the back of the top. It does not fall open. I have mine horizontal. I’ve had things break when they were not stored well.
It does have a hinge that will expand for larger items.
Unfortunately, no. The bottom grill plate has a drain made into it, so it won’t work,
No timer.
This grill has a rather short cord to plug into the wall, but that is for safety reasons. It comes on automatically when you plug it in and stays on until you unplug it, so you need to be sure to unplug it when you are done cooking.
It’s electric, so no flame. But it can reach 400°, so I’m sure you could produce smoke if you overheated something flammable.
Yes
Yes, there are three. One is a “wavy” plate that puts grill lines on the food, the other two are flat. You can use the two flat plates with the grill open to have a larger cooking space instead of cooking both sides at the same time. I cook pancakes and eggs that way. There’s a button on the left side, top & bottom, that releases the plates. It works really well when you want a flat cooking surface. And it heats up really fast. I use it a lot. It’s dishwasher-able, but I find myself hand-washing them and re-using them before I can get enough dirty dishes to fill the dishwasher!
The ribbed plate that is included only fits in the bottom.
Yes, if you are using the grill only then you close the griddle on top of the grill. Otherwise, you can use both at the same time by lifting the griddle and lying them flat on your counter.

Unit overall dimensions are 11-1/2″ wide, 15″ deep, and 6″ tall Cooking surface is 10″x 10-1/2″
There is only 1 drip tray, but the top section has a pour spout that empties directly into the same drip tray that the bottom section empties into if you lift it upwards.
