PowerXL Duo Nutrisealer User Guide

STEP 1

Cut a Bag to Size
Place the appliance on a level surface. Press the Latch Lock Button to open the Sealing Arm. Place the bag material on the Sealing Platform. Line the bag up
with the Cutting Guides. Close the Sealing Arm and press down on the Sealing Arm near the Latch Lock Button until the Sealing Arm clicks into place. Starting at one end of the Sealing Arm, slide the Slide Cutter Tab all the way to the other side of the Sealing Arm to cut the bag to your desired length.
STEP 2

Seal One End
Plug the sealer into a power outlet. The Power indicator on the Control Panel will illuminate. Open the Sealing Arm. Insert one end of the open bag into the sealer, aligning the bag under the Alignment Bar tabs. Close and lock the Sealing Arm. Press the Seal Only button. The light next to the button will illuminate. When the bag is sealed, the light will turn off.
STEP 3

Add Food
Open the Sealing Arm and remove the bag. Add food to the bag, leaving at least 2 inches of free space at the top of the bag to allow for a proper seal. Return the bag to the Sealing Platform and align the bag with the Alignment Bar. Close the Sealing Arm.
NOTE: Do not use the Vacuum & Seal Button with foods containing a large amount of liquid. Instead, use the Seal Only Button.
STEP 4

Vacuum and Seal
Press the Vacuum & Seal button. When the bag is sealed, the light will turn off.
STEP 5

Remove Sealed Bag
Open the Sealing Arm and remove the sealed bag.
IMPORTANT: Unpack all parts from the box and remove any clear or blue protective film on the components. Wash with warm, soapy water before first use (only select accessories are dishwasher safe).
FAQs
Almost any type of vacuum-sealable bag up to 11 inches wide can be used.”
I believe KB’s reply telling us about the 10.5″ heat strip size over the manufacturers response. At the PowerXL website, marketing 101 in showing only one pic of the tiny picture of the cord. (on Amazon the pictures of the cord are pronounced, not so much at their website)
This product is having an identity crisis, because at 2/3rds the cost of this, $39.97 gets you an actual cordless vacuum sealer with no cord, battery operated. Amazon Asin # B09P53VPT6
Personally I’ve owned so many cheap vacuum sealers over the years, I finally purchased Foodsavers top tier vacuum sealer.
Make sure the Sealing Arm is locked in place and fully closed.
I also can’t get the vacuum and seal to work. Like you said, it sort of acts like it wants to vacuum but it seals before it vacuums. If you do the vacuum only button and then do the seal only button, it usually works. It makes the combination button NO GOOD.
Good
about 4 ft.
Yes, as long as the bags you use are compatible with a vacuum sealer, they will seal. As far as the brand, the bags do not need to be powerxl brand.
Yes
Zero idea. The one I received would not vacuum, even tried to vacuum empty soda cans like they showed on the infomercial. Again, I would not recommend, that is from my experience with the product.
Doesn’t work on any volt it’s junk
I’m not sure but I have the worst time using this machine more than any of my other brands. vacuum sometimes works most often doesn’t work correctly.

it says it works on any bags and it seems to the bag has to be sturdy enough though
Don’t know, but you get three or four heavy rolls and they look like a multi-year supply to me.
