Please note the recommendations of installation from the instruction manual of the turnout with ballasted roadbed. The Universal bedding switch drive motor for the roadbed equipped turnouts is only fully operational when installed. Therefore it is not possible to operate it uninstalled since the motor may get severely damaged. To guarantee a perfect running of the roadbed turnoutmotor the working voltage absolutely has to be 16 V=.
