Bottom-Mount Refrigerator Quick Start Guide

Product Information:

The bottom-mount refrigerator is a household appliance designed
to cool and store food items. It comes with electronic controls
that allow you to adjust the temperature in both the refrigerator
and freezer compartments. The refrigerator is equipped with a
Humidity Control feature to reduce moisture on the door hinge seal.
Please read the important safety instructions and the appliance’s
Owner’s Manual before operating the refrigerator.

Product Usage Instructions:

1. Before operating the refrigerator, ensure that it has been
properly installed according to the appliance’s Owner’s Manual.

2. To adjust the temperature in either the refrigerator or
freezer compartment, follow these steps:

• Refer to the chart provided to identify the correct adjustment
  for each condition/reason (e.g., refrigerator too warm, freezer too
  cold).
• Press the up or down arrow touch pads (or the plus or minus
  sign on some models) to increase or decrease the temperature
  settings.
• Do not adjust both temperature controls more than one setting
  at a time, except when first turning on the refrigerator.
• Wait for 24 hours between adjustments to allow the temperature
  to stabilize.

3. The temperature controls are preset at the factory. When
installing the refrigerator for the first time, ensure that the
controls are set to the initial settings as shown.

4. Wait for 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool completely
before adding food. Adding food before the refrigerator has cooled
completely may result in spoilage.

5. Adjusting the refrigerator and freezer controls to a colder
than recommended setting will not cool the compartments any faster.
The recommended settings should be suitable for normal household
refrigerator use.

6. Check the air vents to ensure they are not blocked if the
temperature in the refrigerator or freezer is too warm or too cold
before adjusting the controls.

7. The Humidity Control feature, available on some models, can
be used to reduce moisture on the door hinge seal. Follow these
steps:

• Press Humidity Control to On when the environment is warm and
  more humid or if you notice moisture on the door hinge seal.
• Press Humidity Control to Off to save energy when the
  environment is less humid.

Adjusting Electronic Controls
If you need to adjust the temperature in either the refrigerator or freezer compartment, use the settings listed in the chart as a guide. Press the up or down arrow touch pads (or the plus or minus sign on some models).
NOTE: Except when first turning on the refrigerator, do not adjust either temperature control more than one setting at a time. Wait 24 hours between adjustments for the temperature to stabilize.

For your convenience, your temperature controls are preset at the factory. When you first install your refrigerator, make sure the controls are still set to the initial settings as shown.
IMPORTANT: Wait 24 hours for your refrigerator to cool completely before adding food. If you add food before the
refrigerator has cooled completely, your food may spoil.
NOTE: Adjusting the refrigerator and freezer controls to a colder than recommended setting will not cool the compartments any faster.
The recommended settings should be correct for normal household refrigerator use. The controls are set correctly when milk or juice is as cold as you like and when ice cream is firm.
If the temperature is too warm or too cold in the refrigerator or freezer, first check the air vents to be sure they are not blocked before adjusting the controls.
To Turn Your Refrigerator On/Off: Press the freezer down arrow touch pad until a dash (­) appears in both the refrigerator and freezer
displays. Neither compartment will cool when refrigerator is off.
