HOW TO PREVENT FROM FAINTLY GLOW WHEN TURNED OFF
These strip lights must be completely off when turned off, with no illumination. Make use of the controller button to manually turn them off. Try resetting them via the controller and resetting them if they continue to shine after being manually turned off. I would disconnect them (to prevent fire) and return them if they were still glowing. Sengled offers a 2-year warranty on this specific set from the date of purchase.
HOW TO TURN OFF
Open the “Settings” tab in the Sengled Home app. Next, tap the link for your email address at the top of the page. Next, select “Delete Account.”

WHAT DO I DO IF THE APP FAILS TO ADD THE WI-FI LIGHT BARS DURING INITIAL SETUP?
The Wi-Fi light bar may not be able to be installed due to something as simple as a closed port or an overly active firewall. Being a Wi-Fi gadget, the majority of setup issues usually involve changing a router setting. Your Wi-Fi router’s port can be restricted, which would prohibit the Sengled Wi-Fi bulb from establishing a connection with the Sengled cloud. Let’s try opening a few ports in the router’s settings to see if it helps. To ensure connectivity, open ports 8883 and 1883 on your router. To use the Sengled Smart Wi-Fi LEDs, you must permit access to these ports if your router is blocking it.

Sengled has done a great job on this LED. The effect is wonderful- angle and throw of light is great. The colors are vibrant. It gives a similar effect to the Philips at a very fair price point. You should try it first. Note: this is designed for backlighting. It will not be as powerful as lamps.
The brightness of the light strip that needs a hub is twice that of this light strip, but this light strip does not need a hub, and the brightness is three times that of other brands of smart light strips.
